Whatever i type here, i assume that you have changed to that directory (if necessary) using “cd {path}” (w/o dowble quotes and brackets) command and u should always be logged in as root using “su -” (w/o double quotes) command.

First of all Linux is pronounced as Lee-Nux and not as lie-nux… though i prefer the latter one coz most ppl think i m talking about lee-jeans if i use the first one!!

This was quite frustrating for me since i could never log in to Ubuntu as Root and hence could never configure my internet to work on it coz the command :
sudo gedit /etc/resolv.conf
never worked for me, so i bugged lot of people asking about the same and hence found the solution!!
