I aint talking about the director(s) of Harry Potter movies
. I m talking about the software HP Director (now HP Solution Center), provided with HP scanners for scanning documents/images.
Well some thing about HP-Compaq really piss me off are:
Now this post is for the ppl like me who have HP Director and it has stopped working for no reason. Well its because DIrector depends upon IE, and if u have upgraded to IE 7, then u must un-install it to use Director. But if u r a fool like me to have deleted the un-install files, then u have to download this to use HP Director again, or u can be happy with Windows own Scanning and Printing Wizard or u can re-install Windows and not install the IE 7!!
Download the file from the above link, and install it over-writing ur current installation of HP Director. Then u can scan like before.
For n00bs, IE = Internet Explorer

HP director is NOT in HTML , no software can be written in HTML , it uses XML and other programming elements which ensures its dependancy upon IE for its script executing needs.
ook ok sorry!! will rectify it asap
thats where I say..
Laserjet Zindabad…
^^ m talking about the software for scanner and u talking about the printer
Oops!..will be goin for a eyes checkup..
i dun use scanner..
sorry for the inane statement..
i have a printer scanner and copier , the software is junk
I always knew that these softwares from HP are crappy. If I’m not wrong, there is a generic scanning software which comes bundled with Windows.
Did you try using it ?
@thilak yr it doesnt provide ud options for editing… thst y i didnt use it
