Metro’s Plan of Delhi Domination!!!

On thursday wen i was reading newspaper.. i came across the Angelic Plan of Delhi Metro to takeover Delhi… by covering the whole of Delhi By Metro… and almost whole of Delhi is covered. Map i will post later.
Also Yesterday, Maha Rally oraganised by Youth For Equality saw an overwhelming response. More than 30000 from all over the country attended the rally. I wud have also joined in, but i had an exam. But it was marred by an incident of Self Immolation by a man of Agra. He has recvd 20-25% burns. Hope he recovers soon.
UPDATE: The guy’s condition is stable.

I understand your excitement about the Metro. I must admit that personally the Metro experience was a nice one for me too.
But when I become a bit patriotic and start looking at the bigger picture I really get frustrated about the DMRC project. All over the world metro rail,especially on elevated corridor, is considered as an outdated technology. Had the Metro been developed 20 years back when it was first planned, it would have been feasible. But now under the prsent scenario it just is a deceptive way of showing infrastructural development before the Commonwealth Games. The Metro is suffering losses for two years in a row, yet they are going ahead with this project. Soon when it will be time for changing the trains and maintainence DMRC will declare that it is broke. Then they will be running outdated trains and will go the Air India way. But no media will make this whole thing an issue till the Commonwealth Games. I personally did a lot of research and came up with some interesting facts and figures about DMRC. ^^ i agree with u Sudipta but in India if Metro runs on road level, u will see more ppl shittng on trax then metro trians running on em, also it will add to jams in Delhi since Delhi has an extensive network of roads, with lots of turns…
For Underground… too much noise pollution in delhi and its UG in only high security areas or where is deart of space.
