Happy Birthday, Sachin !!!

24th April, is a sort of Spiritual Day for me… The day is the Birthday of My Idol Sachin Tendulkar. Happy Birthday to him.

I not only like him coz he plays good, but coz he is a gr8 human being. He is THE GOD. Remember SA tour of India in 2001. Sachin was banned for 1 test for ball tempering. Whole nation and not just one state was up in flames against Match Referee Mike Denness. His anger makes rules. Remember India’s tour of England in 2002. Ashley Giles was repeatedly bowling on leg side in a test match. Sachin got frustrated and shouted. After the test match, new rule was made in which if a bowler repeatedly bowls negatively, umpire can give it a wide. He is kind hearted. He does his charity silently without the ho-halla of media. Donated money for Tsunami Victims, made a ramp and special stand for handicap children in Mumbai Stadium, he sponsors 200 under-privileged children every year through Apnalaya, a Mumbai-based NGO associated with his mother-in-law, Annabel Mehta. He has kept his personal life by all means personal.

[EDIT] Sachin Chalisa…. Source and Javagal Srinath has been selected as a Match Referee by ICC.

   Hm.. let him live for 100 years. My ‘blessings’ to him.

   But just because that he does charity work, he ‘makes rules’ or have ‘good effect’ on the team, he can’t stay in the team. He should be dropped and a better players (like Ganguly ) should come in the side!

   On the whole Sachin is a good player. He is grandpa now. There are better players than him the side now. IMHFO he should be dropped as of now.

    Grandpa in the sense that he is a grandpa in the Indian Cricket team. Still I feel he needs to be dropped.

    a chalisa is a poem written to praise someone… like Hanuman Chalisa or chaupai

    A chaupai (?????) is a verse of Indian poetry that uses a metre of four syllables…. from wikipedia
