Quota in Education !!!

Mera India, Personal, General - - Posted on April, 10 at 3:41 am

I wanted to write this post for a long time but cudnt get the time though.

Our stupid, mean, idiotic, good for nothing, morons, despos, f***er*, mindless, bloody piece of bitchy bullshit, f***ing bastards, selfish politicians have all joined hands to destroy the future of millions of students of India in leiu of getting the vote bank by reserving 27% seats for OBC category students  . That makes the total to 49.5% reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC. On top of it, there are reservations for Physically Handicapped (PH), NRIs, Defence Personnels (DP), etc etc… remove NRI reservation then i m for PH and DPs reservation.

This is meaningless. Why doesn’t the goverment make it 100%,so that we all indian student has to go abroad or study in Pvt collage.

Now y aint any political party Protesting??? Coz no party can dare harm their share of vote bank. Look in India Rich and Middle Class ppl seldom go out to vote, its only SC/ST/OBC category ppl who vote regularly and make for 70-80% of vote share.

I m in no way against reservations, but reservations shud be made on the basis of financial condition of the students. Ansd that too not more than 5-7%, max 10%. Rest all shud be filled on the basis of merit. If a student can afford fees of IIMs, how the hell he can be counted as BACKWARD????

Well i have attended two coaching institutes and i have nvr met a reserved category student there. My frnd who has some some SC frnds tell me that they once in a while study for exams coz they study are certain of a seat in a good college and they feel proud in saying that. Last year i gave AIEEE, my rank 73K, in delhi 11K, a SC student, rank 235K, he in a very very good college, i resting my a$$ on chair, writing this post and preparing for engg, again  . There are thousand of fake SC/ST/OBC students with fake certificates in reputed institutions, wat can be done about that… absolutely nothing.

And then our politicians shout that Brain-Drain is working and our brainy ppl are moving out of the country… y the hell they shudnt?? With such fucking policies at work, its better to move out.

I m not saying that all are same, even SC/ST students studying in IITs/IIMs are against these since they say that such students cannot cope with the pressure and hence are either thrown out or they themselves leave. Here’s the paper clipping of the interview:

Are we taking our country forward to compete with US, China or taking backward to compete with African Nations???

Evn Ratan Tata and Narayan Krishnamurthy said that it wud divide the nation in two groups. Prez APJ Abul Kalam said that seats shud be increased in such a way that there is no need for reservations. Many ppl including me support altogether different institutions for reserved category students.

I have got three different SMSs for protests, i m posting them here:

  • There is a protest on the 18th, tuesday at 4:30 at india gate against the reservations that are gonna kill our chances of getting into a decent university. You gotaa come and get as many people as you can. For details contact 9810003610 and 9810291962
  • One of us has shown courage. Protest against 49.5% reservation in colleges - ADITYA SHARMA on indefinitley long Hunger Strike, n if still not heard ADITYA will perform self immolation in front of 53 U.A. , Jawahar Nagar
  • We the mritorious youth of India decide today that we will not compromise on education at the altar of votebank politics. We have to make the government realize that it wud be signing its own death warrant if it passes the New LAw increasing reservations. Pls protest in watevr possible way 2 ensure happy future for every one.

Online Petitions:

PS: i m very busy these dayz and hence getting no time for visiting other blogs, but i visit them wenevr i get time.

[EDIT] First got the SMS, second one saw on a T-Shirts of group of guyz getting signatures from ppl against quota

  • Some ppl went to heaven and fainted after seeing the board on the gates. It sayz: NO SEATS EXCEPT FOR SC/ST/OBC.
  • I m a General Category Student, and paying heavily for it. (pic of Arjun Singh with Devilish lux standing over General Category Students goes over here).

Hey man.. why vent your anger for Phy. handicapped students. They really deserve the reservations.

It’s 52.5% not 49.5% including the 3% for the PH students.

  2. Shwetz Says:

oh yaara i m still editing the post… it accidently got published

  3. Madhur Kapoor Says:

Now it seems that the reservation is for general students , not for SC/ST/OBC . You are right shwet , reservation should be based on financial condition . Now why would they want to work hard if they know they can get to top colleges with a little effort .

  4. Manas Says:

That Arjun Singh deserves a kick in the rear.

  5. karthiksn Says:

Yeah i alsosay reservation should be based on people’s financial status than what it is now.

  6. True Geek Says:

    Yeah It sucks..totally…….

I even started a thread on digit
    …..

sucks obviously………they should reserve them in crime too…..so that 20% crimes are allowed to them

  7. anjali Says:

This is the time to take some action. These politicians have always taken us for a ride. They have left no stone untirned to ruin our career and life. These dirty votebank politics will for sure ruin the country. They least care about our opinions. We raised our voice during Mandal 1, they didn’t listen. We burned ourselves they didn’t care. They kept sitting in their A/C chambers showing least concern. They don’t care whether we live or die. Today its reservation in education, tomorrow it’ll be reservation in private sector. They won’t let us study, they won’t let us find a job. We have been made as outcasts in our own country.
It’s time to HIT BACK. They don’t understand the language of peaceful protests. We have tried that so many times and failed. They only understand the language of voilence. I am ready to be a HUMAN BOMB and take down with me atleast one of Arjun Singh, VP Singh, Mayawati or Meira Kumar. Me and friends have already started planning in this regard. Let’s save the country, lets kill the enemy even if it means riots with SC/ST/OBC

  8. Prateek Sharma Says:

    This sucks ..

That Arjun Singh deserves a kick in the rear.
.. no man even more than that

and that asshole son of a bitch .. VP Singh .. should get some what like a RangDeBansanti act..

    That moron started Mandal-I ..

Now there must be a serious protest against this..

Where we gonna go .. Paying 50,000 or more before getting into the nurserry school to get OBC certificate

Better give them free education if they excel ..
e.g if some OBC guy clear the CAT give him free education

This thing must end.. the whole reservation should go ..

  9. Gaurav Wadkar Says:

I feel that this government needs some kind of a wakeup call guys .Remember how the guys in france protested ,we need similar kind of bloody protests to stop this government from implementing 49.5% quotas in EDUCATION .The basic problem with people like us is that we never protest ,just accept everything…….WAKEUP GUYS BEFORE ITS TOO LATE…….

REMEMBER — IF U ARE NOT PART OF SOLUTION THEN U R PART OF THE PROBLEM.

  10. dr.pallav pareek Says:

    dear budd
what a pity that in aland of the great oppurtunities when our infantile democracy has about started crawling and organisations like goldman sachs in the BRIR ‘2050′ survey have forseen india to be a major economic superpower of 2050 . and these helmsmen of ours whom we have given the reins of our country are all in an effort to belie their predictions. please do keep up the fight and do join hands against this injustice to the millions unfortunate enough to have been born as the forward classes.

I totally support you. Its the time for action.. let us unite and do somethin, Today medical syudents are protesting but we all should protest…

  16. Sangeeta Kapoor Says:

These lower caste people are good for nothing. They don’t even have the guts to compete openly and so need reservation to hide their incapabilities. If they think they deserve to get jobs why don’t they compete with us the same way we do. I myself belonged to a poor family and just because of my hard work I have changed my financial status while my friends who belonged to lower caste and quite rich families (rich because their parents got good jobs due to reservation) are still there where they were because they wanted reservation in everything and never worked hard. Please stop begging for free stuff , get up and go to work. Only you are responsible for your state, don’t blame up for that.

  17. Shwetz Says:

yeah DU and IIT have all agreed and after my exams finish, i along with ma frnds might also join in.. if needed

  18. Poornima Says:

I am currently in US and canot help, but feel strongly for the cause. Why dont you guys talk to various alumni groups that are now employees of big companies and make them join in?

Also, as many people have said on thisblog, we need to start doing something, and the first step towards that is to remember to vote. Thats our only weapon in a democracy. PLEASE dop not forget to vote in the next elections…remember we are the future of the country, and it is us who can make or mar the future of our country, ourselves and each other. If we dont vote, we not only kill our chances, but those of our good friends, younger siblings and kids tomorrow.

If some of you have any idea abo

  19. chandan kumar Says:

I am against this quota system n strongly oppose it.
but i would like to raise some questions?

1.a countary becomes grate because of the hardwork of its masses ,not because of a few elite IITians ?

2.we have lakhs of students passing out of 12 class every year.who in this countary is gong to increase seats for these folks?

3.upto when we will continue take pride of a few elites while ignoring thousans of good students who study outside IITs considering the fact that 4000,are a very few seats.

    4. out of the around 1900 cr edu budget of UGC,nearly 750 cr is alotted to IIT|IIMs while rest of collage all over india share the restn they handle 100 times the more stidents than the iits.we,as students are all equal taxpayers of money ,so why we should not have access to equal quality and standards of educational Insititutions .

5.all these iitians for decades year after year ,left the countary when the countary needed them most.but still we progressed because of those idiots who studied in ,not so iit standards.

6.for a reality check,if u see leading indian enggineers in india , how many of them r from iits?
    percentage wise?

7.today our , public sector n private enterprizes like ISRO,DRDO,HAL,CSIR design much higher level of tech.no of iitians inside these orginisations.

    8.all of u ,arn’y u guys creating a high caste called iitians.

It is a matter of great shame that most of you people are taking it lying down. Please leaveth comforts of your home and get on the streets to protest against this sick reservation policy. The government will not not see your blog. If you are interested in making a difference then get on the streets and fight the enemy.

  22. Krittika Joshi Says:

Nice blog… this is my take on it i’m Krittika Joshi… Karnataka CET rank 677… My roomate is Pratibha Narayankar…. K-Cet rank 4501. We’re both !st year students of JN Medical College, Belgaum.

    My category-General Merit
    Hers- SC/ST

Poor , backward Pratibha owns a Nokia 7260 . She listens to her new Sony CD man when she’s not dabbling in all he Garnier creams and Lakme lotions… and most probably will get an i pod for her upcoming birthday. She reads Cosmo and Femina in her free time and buys her suits at Shopper’s stop. Her favourite food is pizza, but only if its from Pizza Hut. She turns up her nose at canteen coffee, preffering instead the Chocochinno at Cafe Coffee Day .

The Government of Karnataka gave her a reserved seat in a good medical college. It also pays every paisa of her Rs. 42,000 fee….!

    Lucky, ain’t she?
    But backward??!! Gimme a break……….!!

    This reservation thing sucks!
    and I am ANGRY…..
Arjun Singh with all his quotas and reservations can go drown himself!

I do not deny that merit exists in reserved classes.
Nor do I deny that there are deserving students out there who are ‘bacward’ in the sense that they cannot afford higher education.
But handing out reservations along with fee concessions(like the karnataka government does) will only help all those people floating about on the creamy layer , while the meritorious sink deeper into oblivion and frustration…
And this scenario isn’t really doing wonders for the standard of medical education in this country, not when people who are No. 4501 on the merit list get to become doctors….
Its no wonder that Indian medical degrees aren’t recognised YET by any contry that counts.

My IDEAL solution-Scrap the reservations and introduce zero fees for all those who deserve it…all the finacially hard hit OBC SC ST and other candidates(after first checking that their daddies don’t drive Boleros a la Mr. Narayankar)
    That way-

    1. The reserved classes will compete with the rest of us… and their true merit will naturally shine through and be rewarded fairly

    2. Money will be used to fund deserving candidates of all classes and not be diverted towards those can pay but don’t pay just because they come under a category

    3. The quality of our trained pool of doctors remains undiluted yet diverse

( My OTHER solution- Grab the nearest backward hottie and marry him/her. Once you’re backward too, you will hopefully get that seat in My Dream Medical College, Quotanagar, Reserved Pradesh)

Note- Having read some very academic arguements on this whole Mandal issue, I realise that my take on it might not be very enlightened and that what solutions seem fair and implementable to me might not be in the least feasible.

However I stick to the slogan-DOWN WITH RESERVATIONS
All I know is that I worked hard to get my medical seat.. and I am justifiably angry that the Pratibha Narayankars have had it so easy.

  23. shantanudas Says:

If these people need quota to get into colleges (grad level, post grad level, super specialisation levels) it means they have less brains. If they have less brains, then making them doctors at least through the quota route means we are soon going to have lots and lots of doctors who do not have brains and we will all die!! Simple. I hope that bastard dies first in their hand!!!

All these politicians are playing with the future of India and our lives!!!

And if supporters of quotas say they have brains then why do they need quota?

  24. Karan Cheema Says:

Let me tell you a story. Every one knows that Caterpillars transforms themselves into Butterflies. A person was looking at this process of transformation. He saw that a caterpillar was trying hard to bring its wings out of his body. The process was painful. But at last when the wing were out the beautiful butterfly started flying. There was one more caterpillar there and he was trying the same. The person tried to help the Caterpillar. But he was surprised to note that this caterpillar could not fly. The only reason is that, this caterpillar has not gone through the whole processes.

I think that people who are talking of reservations must learn from this that if we want to prosper as a whole country then we must work hard. ALL OF US MUST WORK HARD IRRESPECTIVE OF OUR CAST, CREED OR RELIGION. We are INDIANS. Don’t divide us. STOP ALL THE RESERVATIONS.

History proves that the reservation system prevailing in our country had failed. Just think logically if a particular strategy is failing continuously from it initial implementation stage; should we continue with it?

Government must first concentrate on improving basic education, facilities for basic education, etc. We must first build a concrete base for development. Also non-partial competitive environment will help and force our drivers to PERFORM to the fullest.

I dream to live in a developed nation called INDIA. And at this stage we are growing.

  25. om Says:

Much is been said on ground of meritotious. Really this so called upper caste are meritorious, is it…………..

So how come india got enslaved for so long.
why till date we do not have any indian einstein.
why we are not economically devloped.
why tamilnadu state did not went into oblivion since brahims were forced out long ago.

Its just crap, nothing more can expect from the sons and daughters of so called self proclaimed upper caste.

Kshastriyas did not went thru humiliation for not safegaurding india. On contrary they started sending their womenfolks to Mughals and Britishers so that they could be saved. This is height when one loose fight with oponent you marry your daughters and want to make believe that they were very human to them & their pride multiply’s (smile).

Brahmans, those who always eat by begging from others but yes they love to call this bhiksha. They sell god and make thier livings. because of all thier panditings , india went thru one of the most blodiest and shameless time. - We do not want to repeat now.

Vaisha’s could only fool those who were handicapped by all means. If meritorious then India should be rich. They require level field from govt so that they could compete.

The above castes are existing on earth by the mercy and kindness of the OBC, SC and ST.

Its OBC, SC & ST who are the survival of fittest. It is this chunk which makes india, they have taken few strides and so have india progressed and its these very honourable clan which has given their blood and sweat in making this country.

Come out from your sleep, todays upper caste can’t match with strides of those SC/ST who has made the progress, furthermore forget abt comparing yourself with the progress of OBC’s no match even in numbers.

India (read the govt) is of people and these are the communities which make india. Its their country and their right and they are taking it which is long overdue. In present scenario of the various communities living in india the reservation is necessary so that they get the platform / level playing field……. Pooh Pooh stop begging and crying foul.

Those who could never oppose any outsiders are today trying to lecture, they pass out from india from the money provided by OBC, SC & ST and then go to be labours of europeans. This is your way of leaving, stop this dallal culture.

Come out from self inflicted disillusion, and be ready to take watever leftover is thrown in front of you with all humility………. you saw what happened to tamil brahmins…… so shall happen to you all.

Its high time that OBC, SC and ST bear this rotten part of society, for any society to make stride have to get rid of the ailments / dys -functional part. The sooner the better.

    Last and not Least:

The next step of india should be to sensitise the world community abt the bad blood running in this so called upper caste and thier attrocities perpetrated with all cunningness of fox…………

India should sensitise other goverments not to do buisness with these bloods… they should boycott these…. though not being like them we can give some manial jobs to them till they cease to exist.

  26. Shwetz Says:

first of all its govt who had made lower caste now in India after freedom and wat u said did not have a single thing to do with the topic on whcih this post is… and how are we responsible for India getting ruled over… it was our great great great grandfathers… and this is about education and u better stick to the topic… dont make me open my mouth against ur so-called lower classes..

  27. shantanudas Says:

This is the type of people who support quota!! Yes I am talking of the recent post. The gentleman did not reply to the points many of us have raised, the points I have raised and instead has taken this as a fight between upper caste and lower caste. I say this much I am a bengali. While caste may be existing to some extent in remote corners of Bengal is the gentleman aware that Bengal at least does not suffer from caste systems like many other states whhere these poiliticians aim to gain in vote bank politics. So? So I am saying that at least I am not a casteist. Instead I made some points and challenged anybody in support of quote to come forward and reply. Let us have a debate. Come on. Let me see where I am wrong and what I am missing. My dear quota supporters, if you have it in you come on. Let us debate. Stop behaving like backward people. Here there is no quota, anybody can join in!!! Answer my points

    1. Why do you need quota? first tell me why you need quota to get into school, then tell me why you need quota to get into college, then post graduate then super specialisation (medical) or doctorates (for others) and then we will continue into other areas of quota (including jobs).

    2. Is it because you are poor or is it because you are less intelligent? or is it because schools/ colleges/ etc just look at your caste and throw you out so you need quota.

    3. Tell me the answers to above, instead of arguing like stupid people and showing that you have no merit to even debate.

  28. The Anonymous Says:

    @ om just fuck off…

  29. om Says:

    Shwetz

Who are these people sitting in govt since independence or in society offcourse- affluent classes and how they become affulent…….

Second part, as a duaghter from the lecherous upper caste this is wat is expected from you… check this blog except few person - may have raised / twisted / given reasoning depending on their own exp and thinking against quota or for just sake of being castiest / being anti … no issues at all… its good …. but others have just been cheap left over of street in their behaviour (writing) and so you found myself being some what sweet to them….. and now including you.

Its on topic itself and the genesis of any issues / matter shall and will be always get opened, at the same time watever we do as individual or as group / society … our action shall be always not only be judged by the intentions / objective / our words but also with the result it throws at the end……

so dear be cool headed and go through again, if you see only thru baised mentality i am not here to educate you… good for you … there is enough points writtened & answered for that or else be in your own world & get it lying doun as you all are good for the same.

    To
    Shantanudas,

Firstly even Bengal is the same case … get your facts first.

The bone of contention here is “quota/reservation”
and your comments do not show any inlk of intelligence in your writing..

Firstly debate cannot be for any person who starts shouting from the top of the roof and throwing his intelligent best questions without having any merit….. since he / she themselves has not given enough reason against or pro (what ever the stands one takes) of any topic…… Mere blah blah…. on any matter cannot be said as reason.

The malicious campaingn of yours, though it has ears for it only in your houses and communities but does not cut the case anywhere else… that is your own thinking that you are right and meritorious…. can’t help it.

Let me tell you all some basic thing of intelligence,
    what intelligence means

its getting the raw materials / observation / facts / figures etc and then analysing it and lastly concluding it by putting all pieces together.

Observe your inteligent three question (smile)…

First question should have been only … why require quota but no you go on blah blah blah to show you put few lines… hahahah

In second question of yours.. well good wat intelligent stuff you wrote…. it may be the genius outcome of your brainstorming…. but cannot be mine or any average intelligence… its your sarcastic thinking and your upbringing which shows … its not question but your own answer for self digestion & for like of the same … your own thoughts of till date - self or like minded debating….

There is nothing to answer in it.

Now let me tell you something. If got grey area in your brain then answer yourself to these question… get facts and mind well avoid news… then say something

    1. Why reservation is required ?
    2. What should be its objective?
    3. Why our society till date not progressed (past & present) ? How it can progress ?
    4. What is the social enviornment of the society both rural and in cities ?

All above we know and do not require much thought as we all have seen the enviornment (not necessarily exp in our own but seen / read / heard happening)…

Now come to the bone of contention of all this … that is merit.

1.Is this merit just few academical marks ?
2.Yardstick of measuring Genius.. is it like short running race where with few marks an individuals intelligence can make or break ? put in other words
    can raise or lowered?
3.Being engg, doctor, teacher, manager etc what is the eligiblity criterion.
4.Think on Grade system ? Our academical exam system - and relate the result with above three questions.
5.Those students passing out from pvt colleges, their marks compared to govt college students ?
6.Tell me all those from the Upper caste (mind well not student who pass from general category since manny are from OBC, SC and ST) who pass out from govt colleges and their marks obtained ? Their Intelligence level ? Apptitude level etc?

Now tell me what india has taken stride is this progress due to upper caste ? (smile)

Also get some facts about those who are the real survival of the fitest OBC, SC, ST and their progress and direct contribution? to scoiety, India and world.

Get all this and you yourself shall get the answer.

    So
    Stop being self proclaimed intelligent.
Stop mudsligning and malicious campaign, its self defeating one , self inflicting one.
Stop being the rotten upper caste and have the guts to be man ie to face the truths and facts.

Your saying that you are not castiest does not hold water, as there is nothing to be proud about your being from this rotten class, they have brought stigma to this indian culture, society, character and so on. Thats why you find even those SC, ST communities who have progressed and are so ahead from communities of yours do not want to be associated with you all, what to talk of OBC communities they are fatter better off from you all.

But everyone from your so called upper caste beg to become the one among us.

So when you do not have an option of being one how you could be the one.

Again be man enough to sweat like us then we shall have something to talk.

  30. Shwetz Says:

Second part, as a duaghter from the lecherous upper caste

first get ur spellings right, and i m a male damn it… check my About-Me page

and secondly i know 11 SCs, of these who fill in for SCs, one of them have a bank balance in excess of 65 lakhs, one’s father owns two housing societies in the Posh areas of Delhi, one has 5 cars, 3 scooters… the lists stands endless.. and yes u r right u r socially backward…

and there are some who dont even fill SC coz they believ in merit… so damn it get a life for urself

So u want reservations so u can remain backward for the rest of ur life and u call us so called UPPER CASTES insulting…. sheesh…

And i still say i DONT SUPPORT RESERVATION ON BASIS OF CASTES… i ONLY SUPPORT Pysically HANDICAPPED, DEFENCE PPL and ON ECONOMIC CONDITION based reservations

  31. shantanudas Says:

There is no point arguing with someone who has no sense of decency. Ohh sorry!! Since there is no RESERVATION in decency I guess OM cannot be expected to have it.

This is good. Let the world see what OM stands for. An example of a section of this society who wants to have it all smooth and easy. That is why he did not reply to my questions.

I could have replied to you and could have explained what I had in mind, but you are afraid that the truth will come out and that you will have no argument against my points.

Yes you are intelligent. Who said you are not intelligent? You have understood where I was leading to and so craftily dodged my questions and threw back stupid questions at me instead & wrote incoherently.

But then tell me at least this, if you people are so intelligent, why do you need quota? If you people are so intelligent and upper caste people are less so, why do you need quota? This is one last question I throw to you. I see you have no courage to debate.

Anyway Shewtz, why argue with this fellow? Each one of us have said what we feel. He feels happy having abused us. We can feel by calling him a **** but why should we? Why waste our breath here and create bad blood. There are offline, real world forums where this is being discussed & decided.

  32. bharath bhukya d Says:

sc/st ok but why for obcs?

  33. Shwetz Says:

    @bharath why evn SC/ST ok??

  34. Lesser than God Says:

Well, this blog seems to have nice discussion with valid points. Only thing, there is no other side of midnight. If we conclude based on the opinions here then Reservation should be scrapped because except for one dissent all are against it and in democracy majority counts, right?. But does it say anything about the composition of the society or better about those who have access to technology. It seems there is no voice to other side.

From the information on this blog, it looks like anti- and pro- reservation groups believe that they are entirely right and appear to have very narrow approach to the problem as if the issue of education exists in isolation. Today, in HT there was an article on this issue and it quoted Gilbraith and his theory of ’secession of successful’. This, I think, is applicable to India. In India, there are two Indias, just go out of Delhi and it looks as if you have come to some other country. I fail to understand how India can become a superpower if 80% of India is at a lower level than rest 20%. (I am eschewing the word ‘backward’)

The fact is, caste as such is deeply ingrained in people’s mind, look at some of the replies in this blog itself. People still index on the basis of so-called lower caste or higher caste.

The people who have access to technology(Internet ?) do not have it because they are simply meritorious and rest are not. It is because of some unfair system. Off-course, reservation is not the solution, per se. But is there any solution to it.
It is said that we should start from bottom-up i.e. primary schools, but if it is not done in last 50 years , will they do it now?

Just think the issue in un-biased manner. This is a free country and everybody has right of his/her opinion.

  35. Shwetz Says:

well if u wanna see the truth of reservation… grab this week’s India Today

  36. ayush Says:

Rservatins r stigma4 all people irrespective of caste.it is just a political gimmick by congress to bag obcs votes initiated by that moron arjun singh. As we all know that it would not even benefit a handful truely deserving obcs n will only result in hampering our vast pool of professionals to whom the world bows today.
we are not inconsiderate towards our less priviledged freinds ,we are ever ready to giv our helping hand to them in a far more legitimate n effective way but this reservation is just to fool the entire student community and make a vertical split in the society by means of casteism.
govt does not stress on giving d primary n secondary education though have been spending the citizens money on various yojnas through out the country for last 6 decades but never bothered to review them, thus wasting citizens hard earned money n now stabbing students on their back.this is only because students at secondary m primary level does not account 4 their votbank as the college students do.
if they really want to uplift the conditions of poor people ,why dont they provide them free coaching 4 premium institues free of cost.what they can also do is like in IAS sc/st get 7 attempts as compared to 5 of those of general category, they can similarly do in IIT IIMs.they can b given 3-4 attempts as compared to 2 of those general category.so,atlest theyll get admission on merit and after getting admission also they can be given scholarships by govt.
i would also say that manmohan singh whom we thought to be an honourable n a devoted man has capitulted to the party politics.Had reservations were introduced at manmohan singhs college time ,instead of Dr.manmohan singh we would hav manmohan singh the clerk

  37. Sudhir Says:

as if its not bad enough that the quota / reservation system is back in full focus again…we now have wonderfull images of the police mercilessly beating up medical students who were only peacefully protesting the quota system. And i guess the worst part is..theres not an iota of a f***ing thing that we can do abt it except vent our frustations in blogs. If we have a d***head like manmohan singh as our PM who didnt have the faintest idea of what arjun singh was planning..then god save our nation. soembody should tell that a**hole to stop hiding behind her pallu and for once speak his bloody mind out..if he cant do that then he must f***ing quit.

today what happened in mumbai was an insult to our societal values of democracy & integrity. it questions the presence of the basic freedom that we are supposed to enjoy. resorting to cruel lathi charge on students who were only standing for their rights just shows how scared the govt is abt the quota thingie..a person who resorts to violence instead of words and logic is a person who knows he’s done something wrong and will do everything possible to save himself.

off course the govt has magnanimously “ordered a probe”. as usual, it will amount to nothing but being another source of income for some retired judge. its unfathomable that in a city where criminals are given soft treatments, community leaders are allowed to spread their religous shit without any probs, hard working students are not allowed to express their opinions in a non-violent peacefull manner.

if the people responsible for the lathi charge are not brought to book then it just proves that mumbai is filled with eunuchs who look the other way when someones in trouble.

  38. SUDEEP Says:

om u f***in bas***d where did u get internet access that also in quota o wat man i kno ASS HOLES LIKE U FEEL there should be reservation in BOLLYWOOD FILMS ALSO na. And hey wats your dad earnin MUST BE A GOVT JOB HE GOT THROUGH QUOTA and how much BRIBE he s taken huh???????

  39. always on your case Says:

I have gone through each and every posting on this blog. I find it very disgusting to read the views expressed by Om , this gentleman doesnt have his brains in the right place, and is arguing like a politician, trying to jumble up the topics and consistantly trying to irritate readers by using usless irritating tone.
Mr. Om, first of all do you know what is reservation?
    Secondly, what this reservations achieve?
The reservations is a way to earmark a section of society (read weaker section) on the basis of casts. This is what will create a divide in the society. Right now we dont even care who is what? All we care is that a particular person is in need of education, water, food, etc etc. But once you get into an institution, you are earmarked in the records forever, that you belong to a particular cast. And this stays with you till you die and with your generations.
These reservations wont teach anyone anything, but creat a wide valley of haterd and anguish between different sections of society.
I agree that there is castiesism rampant in many parts of our country( believe me I have travelled length and breadth of our Country, and through the villages too), but this aint any solution to that problem, infact this is nowhere close to the “S” of solution.
The solution lies in sending people to villages, not dragging them away from villages.
The government should take initiative to open free schools in every village or taluka.
The teachers in government and pvt schools be made to go there on deputation for atleast two years.
They should open a dedicated senior secondary school in every Tehsil, and admit kids of backward classes onlyt and provide them with good teachers, free books, free food, free boarding and trainings.
Give incentives to teachers teaching in these schools, or give them two fold salary increase. Make it mandatory to spend three years in this school, just like banking sector.
This is where the major growth begins.

And coming to your lesson of history, my dear om, the independence was won by all of us. There are black sheeps in every cast and creed, so stop pointing your finger. The nation belongs to all of us, so stop cribbing about who got what.
Stop taking like a person from a political party and talk like a true Indian.
Writing the kind of language you have written will speak only bad about you.

p.s. : I forgot your comments on going out of India, the stats reveal that most of the guys who have gone abroad after doing a professional course have landed a handsome job, and are not the slaves. And last but not the least, which part of the world you live in?

  40. kintan Says:

    Difference Apart

Raghu was rather a happiest child in this whole world. He was as white as snow, having a descent glow on the face. A very attractive child, who used to attract everybody towards himself. He had got many names some called him snowy, some Mickey and as many people knew him as many names he had. Always full of dreams, far away from the realms of life, he was most attached towards his grandfather and the little window of his house which was his mirror to the outside world. He and his grandfather used to sit for long hours gazing the outside world.
Grandfather was an old but a healthy man, who used to puff his cigars as he was puffing out his worries out of his mouths making circles of smoke. Raghu used to clap seeing these smoke circles. Grandfather was retired and his only asset was his grandson, Raghu whom he always wanted to see prosperous and happy. Although some problems concerning health had started over powering him still he managed to take Raghu out for a walk, to and fro from the school, help him in his home work and also telling him stories. But the grandfather’s stories would not contain the fairest fairies and the darkest dark magicians and dark lords rather they were full of wisdom containing the cruelty of the world, the world he had faced from his childhood to his old age and the world which is still being gazed upon by him from that little window, which Raghu is going to face in the future. But Raghu unaware of what his grandfather means used to pass a little grin over to him and sleep in his lap.
One day while he was gazing out of the window, he saw an ice-cream hawker ringing the bell of his cart and shouting out loudly to attract children towards him. He woke up his grandfather and got him agreed to have an ice-cream.
When he was licking the ice-cream, grandfather said,” My son, have you seen the sweat on the face of the ice-cream hawker. And you know what the irony is that he sells the ice-creams which let others release the sweat over their faces.” Raghu at that time was too small to understand the big philosophies of grandfather and his reply was that grandpa when I will grow up I will not go to an office like daddy but I will sell ice-creams like this Ice-Cream Walla and make people happy. I will be an Ice- cream Walla.
But he was as others not a consistent child. His dreams about what he wants to be were always changing. As he developed his little wisdom they changed from rags to riches. From Ice-cream Walla, toy seller to car manufacturers and business tycoons like Tata and Birla.
Still he was a child. Good at heart, farsighted in his dreams and approach. Flying kites as he would once fly a plane in the sky. Still unaware of the ground realities.
The vision from his window had taken over the contrast gradually. The contrast between poor and rich. And this was the contrast he hated as he grew mature.
As the years past, he had matured into a handsome boy. Matured in his approach, mature in his wisdom. He had just appeared for his senior secondary exams, and most of all he had fallen into love. But still he was not sure what he was going to be. The window missed him the most as he was not fascinated by it now. His attention had rather shifted to the park benches and shade of trees where he will sit for hours with his beloved. Here he used to be very far away from the thought of to be. The thought to be something, something in life.
But in his house were he used to be the most beloved child, he was a point of hatred now. As when he used to arrive late at night, he was ought to listen a lecture from his father. His father repeatedly told him to think over what he aims, what he wants to be. This, to be, was knocking all over his head. Have it been possible if his grandfather would have been still there, to whom he could have said with the same old grin, that he wanted to be an ice-cream Walla. Neither he was ready to sweat like that ice-cream Walla nor did he have made up his mind to submit himself fully towards the boredom of study.
But today when he arrived back home, overall mood was at a worst state. His father had got a sneak peak over his love affair. Everybody was blasting over him. But to his strange, point was not that he had fallen into love. He should have cared what he is before doing that. He should have thought at once what he is going to be. And what is that on which he is going to feed over his family. But the topic he was being lectured upon was surprising to him. A knew contrast had added to his life. The diverse contrast between the castes. The castes of the boy and the girl were different. He was from an upper class to the girl. He could not understand the point behind after all it was his life, it was he to find his love.
But consequently he was again sitting at the same window, gazing the ever growing contrasts in the world. He was bound to his house. He was banned to go out of his house. He had to get merged back into his books as he realized that this was the only method to his independence. Self dependence was the key to independence. His career, his status, his position, they will make him free. When these will be there then there would be no question fingering towards him. Then he will marry the girl of his choice, his beloved.
This became his passion. He decided to join engineering and that too from reputed institutes of the country that is IIT’S. As the results came out they were most shocking. They were above average as per his father’s expectations. His father’s collars were touching the sky. He was almost sure that his son is going to make up to the IIT.
But as the whole drama got over, a proud father became the saddest of the all. He who had never made it to his son how much love he had for him, was still asking his son that what he is going to do now. What had he decided to be know.

Raghu had failed to hit it to the bull’s eye, short of a few rank. The same old question which had carried with him from his childhood was still pounding over his head. This time his awnser was the most shocking, “ I want to be an SC, Scheduled Caste a damned fucking Scheduled caste.”

These were his last words as he ate poison, gazing out through the same old window, were the contrast was still growing.
Written on his suicide note was:

    I hate her.
I hate all of her caste.
    I die solely because
    I can’t live without her
but I will never get her
as know I hate her too.

You know why, why the love, which was larger than life became a hatred. A hatred which caused the boy to end his life.
The fact was that despite of getting low rank than Raghu his beloved, his girlfriend got admission into an IIT . She was from a reserved category. And this was the only reason of love changing to hatred.

Morale: So morale of the story is that if a love like which forced Raghu to be something can also get changed into hatred then by increasing the reservation seats and reservations govt. will just increase the hatred. This was just a story but it will become true and will give birth to many like Raghu. So whatever caste u belong to no caste is upper or lower your karma, which you do make u go up or down in the society. So Let’s unite our voice over this noble cause. Please mail me back, and as a writer, whatever help I can be I am in support off. And for college students please get united and mass up the revolution against the governments step. Let’s make a team hire a spoke person and unite this issue nation wide. Let us not get divided. Our politicians from the advent of our country are admirers of britishers. They are trying to divide and rule. Please be united.

  43. ivan Says:

I think we should have job reservations in all the fields. I completely support the PM and all the politicians for promoting this. Let’s start the reservation with our cricket team. We should have 10 percent reservation for muslims. 30 percent for OBC, SC/ST like that. Cricket rules should be modified accordingly. The boundary circle should be reduced for an SC/ST player. The four hit by an OBC player should be considered as a six and a six hit by a OBC player should be counted as 8 runs. An OBC player scoring 60 runs should be declared as a century.

We should influence ICC and make rules so that the pace bowlers like Shoaib Akhtar should not bowl fast balls to our OBC player. Bowlers should bowl maximum speed of 80 kilometer per hour to an OBC player. Any delivery above this speed should be made illegal.

Also we should have reservation in Olympics. In the 100 meters race, an OBC player should be given a gold medal if he runs 80 meters.

There can be reservation in Government jobs also. Let’s recruit SC/ST and OBC pilots for aircrafts which are carrying the ministers and
politicians (that can really help the country.. )

Ensure that only SC/ST and OBC doctors do the operations for the ministers and other politicians. (Another way of saving the country..)

Let’s be creative and think of ways and means to guide INDIA forward…
Let’s show the world that INDIA is a GREAT country. Let’s be proud of being an INDIAN..

May the good breed of politicans like ARJUN SINGH long live…

ANY WAY INDIA IS NOT FOR US. IT IS A MISFORTUNE THAT WE ARE BORN IN INDIA

  46. chandan kumar Says:

ONE OF THE ABSURD COMMENTS I HAVE EVER READ.
sorry, but due respect, i stand ,for what i have said above.

  47. shantanudas Says:

I will add my comments again. People whose comments I am commenting upon will know what I am addressing here. I agree that the downtrodden cannot be ignored as somebody said here. But the quota is not the answer. The solution to that is already known and given by some. More seats, more colleges, free education, schools and colleges at Villages (forcing teachers to go there on rotational basis) and so on are the solution. Taking recourse to quota again and again throught out life is not required. These downtrodden people are either not having money to study and get equal opportunity or are simply not allowed entry to good schools and colleges because of caste considerations. While I do not think this is so in metro cities, this may be so in smaller towns. And then considering that all are born equal mentally, only the environment makes a difference, a child from a good established family backgro8nd gets more exposure and so is able to compete better. So we need to have quota in Schools ONLY. Once they get into schools, they too get the same exposureand even if their parents may not be able to provide the mental support (assuming that a more educated forward class parent is able to because of his environmental backghround) all that needs to be done is to provide monetary help in full so that these students can stay in metros, get exposed, get tutions, and so on. But no need to have quota for colleges and jobs.

The very reason for asking quota at all levels means Govt is accepting that these people never rise to the mental levels of the so called upper castes (the ones who supposedly never had anything to do with Indian Growth as per some stupid chap) and that these people never aquire the intelligence and merit enough to compete with the so called upper classes and so need quota. BUT THAT ITSELF MEANS CREATING DOCTORS AND ENGINEERS who are not as good as the others, is this not so? If you need quota then does this not mean this and so is not Congress actually accepting that they are going to release less intelligent and less capable doctors on us? What will be the effect of this on society then?

Rather govt should think of alternative mesns to raise this section of society to become at par with others. Quota will always keep them behind.

oh by the way , just because WE CAN shout against Govt does not mean we need to compare with China and RUSSIA. In that case why not compare with USA and the advanced countries, where a President can be impeached and common citizens can bring down politicians by going to court. Just because India allows us to shout against the Gvt does not mean it has all plus points.

  48. shantanudas Says:

You will get all Govt related links here including emails and addresses. Flood them with your emails and letters.

  49. ranajit Says:

Read the comments. Do not agree with Om. I did not see one iota of facts in his statements, and there are lots of questions but no answers or even suggestions.

Reservation has been in place for more than couple of decades in India with Mandal I coming into force in the 1990s. It has not helped the under-privileged classes and with Mandal II will not.

I think we all understand that Arjun Singh is not for up-liftment of the under-privileged, or for that matter for the good of India, he is doing whatever is best for him and his family members.

Now the issue of how the under-privileged can be given the advantage of education so that Indian society as a whole can move to the next level of development. I think the solution is to re-vamp our secondary and higher-secondary education system itself.

    – Revamp the system so that we take out government involvement as far as possible. The system needs less politicians and more teachers and resources. Make utilization of technology to make education cheaper and easily available at all times of the day.
    – not every one needs to become engineers and doctors. Provide education which can be used to get jobs.
    – provide help to students who show merit and are interested in higher education. Once in higher education do not provide any reservation but economic help or incentive.
    – Provide economic incentive to companies both public and private to provide higher education to its employees.

This debate has already been decided number of years ago, countries which believed in meritocracy in all spheres of life has enriched the life of its citizen much much more than countries that did not. Just one fact, India and China was close to each other in terms of filing of patent at the end of millennium but in 2005 the number of patents by China is twice as large as India’s.

  50. chandan kumar Says:

i want to say something guys,
    if i was the PM,
    i would take care that every good n decent (mind that NOT only 100 toppers out of a lac) should get a chance to study what he loves. my criterias r very simple;
    1. engg. for the creative minds.
    2.MBA for people with IQs.
    3. medcine for those who have sympathy n respect for life.

i take a mid way. i want social upliftment n merit also.
so what ,i would do is INCREASE THE NO. OF SEATS so that the this ugly debate about reservation gets killed for once and for all.

  51. Praveen Says:

    49% for SC/ST/OBC

How about reservation on the basis of linguistics.Ask DMK,ADMK and all the DK’s and they would tell you how dravidians are almost always are oppressed by Upper caste brahmins.

How about on the basis of region.Ofcourse the cowbelt is suffering because of the Oppression of the tamils,Bengalis,Maharashtrians and what not.

How about reservation on the basis of religion.Ofcourse Buddhism needs reservation because they are driven out of the country by mean hindus.Jains needs reservation and so does parsis because they are very few in number. And alas how can I forget the poor moslems of india who are suffering at the hands of hindus

At the end of all these drama the people who are suffereing are the 300 million under previlaged.

Now to think intellectually and not the stupid Arjun singh way.How about 100% free education with stifund till death for all the underprevilaged.

Let us give high incentives to the Entities that hire underprevilaged in the form of tax breaks. The more they hire from economically underprevilaged the more tax breaks they get.Isnt that a simple, practical and out of the box solution.I am sure Tatas,Infosys and all the people from the society would welcome it.

At the end of the day.Lets take out the Quota based system.NO RESERVATION except for Army Personals and Physically Handicapped.

And Last I would thank all the millions who elected the congress and stupid Arjun Singh.

  52. karthik Says:

And where the fuck is that sissy Manmohan? You bloody bastard!! You people will be bombed even if it means we have to go to jail. (speaking of which, are there reservations in jails too??)

  53. Shwetz Says:

    @karthik i wish there are… 100% for SC/ST/OBC

  54. sumathi Says:

I have read most of the writings. I do not belong to SC/ST/OBC category. At the outset let me say that most have written against those SC/ST and OBCs. You should be angry at the Govt. and not these people who have just used what was made available to them.

Fact is that these facilities do not reach the poor among the backward classes and that is why reservations do not serve the purpose.

Look at all the meritorius students in IITs and Medical Colleges, whose education was hugely subsidised from the tax payers’ money. Do they serve the country after they complete their education? They join MNCs and go to America and lead a luxurious life there. Most of them do not send any money home. I want to know how they are helping India to grow?

You know, only the borderline students among the upper caste can not get seats as compared to SC/ST/OBC.

Does any person from IIT or IIM think of establishing a school for the backward people so that they can gain knowledge and come up in life? Or at least spend a part of the hefty salary on the children of these people who are also the hope of India along with children of the upper caste?

What these people need is social acceptance, education so that they can feel confident and not suffer from inferiority complex any more. Only then they can join the mainstream. Instead of cursing SC/STs one should come up with concrete plan for upliftment of these people starting from school level.

India is great country. It can remain great only when every one can walk hand in hand.

  55. mallik Says:

hi , i think reservations is outof questions and i would suggest COMPLETE BAN ON ANY KIND OF RESERVATIONS FOR EITHER SC , ST OR ANY CAST.LETS MAKE INDIA RESERVATION FREE.MAY GOD BLESS MY COUNTRY.THIS STRUGGLE SHOULDNT END COME WHAT MAY.LET WHOLE INDIA UNITE AS WE TAKE A WHOLE NEW STEP FOREWARS.

  56. Murali Says:

    Hi Guys,
    Few points to share….
From my childhood I have a sense that Reservation as a big drama. I have seen few families the so called reserved category utilise to very great extent. They see that everyone in that family is educated free of cost and earn with good pay. And also few families of the same reserved category who are not even aware the oppurtunities for them and how to go about with it.

What I mean to say is that a family which has cracked this quota trick uses it to the fullest and others of the same are left out. Take the case of a common middle class ‘Unreserved Category’ family. Imagine not even one child getting a seat just because of the reservation. No earning person from the family…? A common middle class person with a tag of Other Caste left to the fate of polticians……..

And I also strongly believe that increasing the number of seats wont resolve the issue. Increasing the seats mean that you are creating a room for uneligible people in terms of reservations where the fate of the nation and in turn fate of the public lies in the hands of untalented professionals……….

  57. kishore Says:

Arjun Singh SUCKS !! big time.

When everyone has started to talk about How India can take leadership among the nations, this time-pass politician with no vision is still with reservations for A, B, C, D. Grow up Arjun.. Its time to tell the world that we have IIT and IIM with the best brains from India. So people from other places come to these institutions for learning.

Remember: A talent is a talent is a telent.

The same way as I cant convert you in a Gandhi or Indira of India, no one can force a no-talent into a world class doctor or engineer. If you wanna help, help them financially so that they dont miss the opportunity just coz of money.
Go to your mom. She must be wiser than you.

  58. Shwetz Says:

@ sumathi either u r lying that u r not a SC/ST/OBC or u r being benefitted due to this in one way or another or ur some known to is in Congress… coz a general category student will nvr evr suppor quota and if u r supporting it, u r ……

  59. Raj Says:

    Hello,
if govt is really interested in up bringing the backward castes let them pay some money per month for the entire family, if i want i am ready to pay extra tax for this, but pls dont dilute the merit of india.

  60. raj Says:

    Hi,

I forgot to thank all my north indian friends who took a great step in this, let the wave soon come to south india too, guys why are we sleeping? however on behalf of south india: all our support will be there for our doctor friends and engineers who are struggling there….

we need our nation reservation free…

  61. Mahesh Menon Says:

Why dont we start a signature campaign involving all those who are interested in fighting this battle. We need to have all those who are interested to take an oath that they will vote against Congress and its allies who are responsible for bringing in this legeslation.

  62. Shwetz Says:

^^ actually if u read the main post, i have mentioned about it

  63. raj Says:

Mahesh Menon idea of voting against cong or any party involving in such activities seems to be a good solution to declare the majority of the youth for this fight in making our nation reservation free.

  64. raj Says:

Mahesh Menon idea seems to be good in voting against those parties which indulge in such activities for making our nation reservation free

Our protests against reservation are not united all over the country, and the result would in the end be like 1857 revolt of indian independence.

    So let’s organise

  69. WAKEUP Says:

Friends…. I say Hitesh Vig is right. Let this not be JUST A FIGHT AGAINST QUOTA BUT A FIGHT AGAINST ALL POLITICIANS….. FIRNEDS.. IF YOU DO NOT VOTE FOR CONGRESS WHOM WILL YOU VOTE FOR?? BJP?? LOK DAL?? JANATA DAL?? EVERYBODY IS SAME!! ALL THE POLITICIANS ARE B******S

SO LET US START A MOVEMENT TO CREATE A NEW POLITICIAL PARTY WHICH WILL BE DIFFERENT…AND CHANGE EVERYTHING…NOT QUOTA ALONE!!!!

HOW WE DO IT?? I DO NOT KNOW.. BECAUSE FRANKLY…. I DO NOT KNOW HOW A HONEST PARTY WORKER SURVIVES ON HONESTY!! I DO NOT KNOW HOW HOMEST PEOPLE CAN SURVIVE WITHOUT MONEY EARNED WRONGLY…. WILL PEOPLE DONATE FOR OUR MOVEMENT?

LET ME KEEP THIS SHORT… BUT LET ME TELL YOU THAT ,,,, WE SHOULD NOT JUST KEEP QUIET OR LOOK AT QUOTA… AS IT IS CONGRESS IS TRYING TO FOOL US BY POSTPONING… TO NEXT SESSION… AND HOPING THAT AGITATIONS WILL DIE… SO LET US NOT ONLY LOOK AT QUOTA BUT EVERYTHING!!!!

YEAHH LET US LOOK AT EVERYTHING…. LET US WAKE UP!!!

  70. shantanudas Says:

Shewtz.. this is the firt time I AM NOT WITH YOU!!! You should not have abused Sumathi!!! REMEMBER ONE THING YOU ALL HERE!! THE COMMON MISTAKE THAT PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE IS.. YOU MAKE SOME STATEMENT/ TAKE SOME ACTION WHICH IS WRONG AND MORE EXPERIENCED PEOPLE THAN YOU TAKES ADDVANTAGE OF THAT AND TURNS OPINION AGAINST YOU.., BEWARE!! IF YOU ARE FIGTHING A CAUSE… DO NOT MAKE LOOSE STATEMENTS… WRONG STATEMENTS….. ETC ETC..

What Sumathi has said is true.. but then she (or he) is also less informed..because there are people from IITs who have not gone ABROAD AND ARE TRYING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE HERE IN INDIA!! But while Sumathi… is wrong.. you should be careful…
and both of you should know what you are saying.. our opponents will be happy if we fight among ourselves!!!!

  71. Shwetz Says:

^^ ok sorry sumathi… but wat she said is absolutely incorrect

  72. sumathi Says:

    Shwetz,

I do not really need to convince you that I am neither SC/ST/OBC nor that am I related to any of the politicians, do I?

You do not seem to have read me properly. I have not supported reservation anywhere. Do you have an alternative to reservation? I remember having read in Denis The Menace once. Denis was kneeling down and praying, “God please forgive my ancestors for what they did to the negroes.”

Can you understand how these people must have felt when they had to clean the open toilets, not draw water from the wells used by other people etc.. Tragically it is true in many places even today. How do you expect them to come out of this misery? In the era of Information Technology let them also be well informed. Education is their only passport for economic independence where by they can also be assured of social acceptance.

Certainly reservation is not the answer. The answer is in you, the educated, enlightened people. You only need to give a thought to them and not the politicians who are just waiting to bait you.

May you turn your anger into creative work for the betterment of people at large. Good Luck!

  73. sumathi Says:

This one is for everybody. From where did you all pick up such foul language? Do just write like that or do also speak like that? You people need to wash your mouth properly because they smell very bad. It is disgusting.

You make me laugh when you say that you want vote against COngress. We are in this sorry state of affairs because it is fashionable for most educated people not to cast their vote which the lesser mortals do faithfully.

  74. Shwetz Says:

^^ sumathi i m against reservation for SC/ST/OBC. I support reservation on the basis of Economic Status..

And Sumathi i m really sorry for writing all that… i m pretty fucked up these dayz.. check my other posts if u like

And R U GUYZ ALWAYZ SITTING OVER THE NET??? I GET INSTANTANEOUS REPLIES AFTER REPLIES….

    Hi

Thanks to person writing the article Wake Up,

    Dear friends my e-mail is

    creativelyperfect@yahoo.co.in

Plz mail me u r names Phone No.s and Cities at this, I will call u and then we can discuss what to do next when we are sure of a number involved with us.

Also induce as many friends to the cause, even they are being affected or not, as many who are from engineering streams and not into IIT’s are not still there in the line.

But I can tell u ki unka number bhi aayega. Kya pata govt. kal ko baki institutes ki reservation policy bhi change kar de.

And you know the next step what govt. is planning to is to induce reservations in private jobs.

So lets unite or be late forever.

I am a writer. I have left my education. When I can get to this concern, then why not those who are still concerned to this issue. I beleive my words will change down the minds even of those from SC,BC and OBC classess too. They will too understand it is just a vote bank politics.

Govt is just doing Divide and Rule.

Revolt is Neccesary. It is not only about the problem of Reservation. Our country is facing many other problems too.

All of us know about Hitler. He had been conveyed as a willion in history. But he was a hero. He was a leader of a revolution, not a conqurer. You may not know this side of hitler he was a great writer, philosopher and a painter too.

That is what India needs too.

I am not a Hitler nor a Stalin. Let’s try a revolt too. Gradually we will get a leader amongst us too.

    hello All,
here is something we all need to do. the system of quota needs to be dealt with a social backlash. how bout letting the world know that a engineer or a doctor got into a college with just 45% marks.
here is what i am proposing, everyone who got into a college without using quota ahould wear a blue ribbon on his left hand. this way we can show the world we got into a college cause we were qualified not because we had some certifacte saying we need reservation. what do you guys think?
    Nitin

  78. Praveen Says:

Well this issue is not Congress VS the rests. Please understand that BJP is equally silent on this.So is RSS and where did praveen thogadia disappear. He is always in news from unwanted reason.
Its a truth that obc constitute 30% of the population. And no sane politician is going to let them go so easily. They would now try to reserve upperclass poor within the 26% to satisty upperclass people. This is how things are.And I would not blame manmohan singh or chidambaram they are not going to do the stupid thing of loosing this 30%.So I would assume that this is going to pass with the upper class clause included to appease everybody and the bill would pass.
Unless the students protests go out of hand.I wish that would happen. We need some fire to kill this dragon.

  79. Revolt Says:

    Hi Nitin

You are quite right. But this is not the solution to the problem.

Just unite the friends over this issue at your level. posting on net about the issue will not do

we are posting comments to each other.

What I have said is to get each others mail Id’s, Phone No.s be in contact and incure a mass revolution the only solution to the problem

    Who will vote us

  83. chandan kumar Says:

    hey sumathi ,
    i here agree with u.
THese so hyped IITians just do not serve the purpose to the countary.rather than india is served by many of , the so called substandard level enggineers, who come from some reginoal RECs, from remote collages.

GUYS I want comments from u?
dont u think the IITians are overhyped a bit. like?

1.i visited the open house. i heard about it on television n it turned out to be a disappointment for me.
esp. in the Mech n elect. div. if u trust me, i have been to some collages in banglore where some of the projects by students simply outclassed what was shown this year at open house.
for eg.i saw one project where stdents joinded some sticks
together n started telling me,that it was based on f1 car model n they were looking for sponserships.just wooden sticks.huh.while the news crew was busy in filming that piece of junk.rest apart very much …………..
i bet that ,pick a group of some good students n hand over some funds. they will surely turn up some better results than what i saw at open house.

  84. chandan kumar Says:

    i forgot,
    i am against the reservations

  85. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

    Hey guys,
I’m new on this blog…Anyways, i agree with what Mr./ Ms. Revolt says….Though i have some reservations of my own…come on guys, we’re talkin about education out here then why are we protesting like hooligans on the streets. We are the smartest brains in the world, surely we can come up with sumthin better…sumthin a lil more sensible…why are we punishin the Indian public when the problem lies within the people we elected. When the problem is at the core, attack the core. Mr. Arjun Singh has already made the declaration, he has instilled hopes in all OBC students, they will surely backlash if quota is removed. We need to work sensibly, we dont have to disrupt the whole country…education is the medium of advancement, we dont have to make it the medium over which India will stand divided.

  86. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

We need to join hands together, that is very true….we will go all the way only if we stand united….but do we really want to harm the existing infrastructure and utilities of the country in that process. Do we really want to stop our way of life to achieve something that leads to its betterment. Medical facilities are at a standstill and our own people are suffering. We say what kind of doctors will we have if 50 % are from quota, I cant comment on that, but how can the doctors stop working and then talk about the quality of doctors graduating…

  87. Sicilian (keep guessing... and you know that) Says:

Boy , tons of emails and not a single sensible quote. Well why arent there statistics on progress with % of pass on each caste such as 10th,12th,UG’s, PG’s, IIT’s, IIM’s and what not like average life span, diseases and all that. To me its very very obvious that people who havent touched (or were not allowed to touch) books for almost 5000 years (mind you 5000!!! woof cant imagine that, just thinking how much it took for homo sapiens to get his tail off his back…) would have developed severe inability to even think something logical. (Hitler was too undiplomatic to directly commit mass genocide, the way Hinduism doesand have done genocide is better). Money or finance has nothing to do with this. Well one cant argue with people who dont want to “look out” and accept responsiblity.

  88. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

I really wont say that dude….As there’s a rotten apple in every good lot, at times there can also be a good apple in the rotten lot. Its about pickin it with your eyes open.

In AIIMS 96 hours 94 Students collapsed. Please come out before it is too late. Media prohibited from covering. Please spread it like fire. This is for our own good

  92. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

    Hi everyone,
94 students have laid their health on the line for this cause. Do we really want to carry on like this? Some of the most brilliant minds in the country are going through this. There has to be a better way of doing this. We have the smartest students amongst us and all we have come up with is hunger strikes and revolts against the government.
I have been posting some stuff on my own blog which concerns the background information of the bill that is being introduced.
During Mandal Commission revolts, 2 students self immolated. That resulted in the then PM, V. P. Singh’s resignation and no quota implemented. Today, 16 years later, we are once again standing at a junction where quota is being introduced. Can we not come up with something that can solve this problem permanently?
Please do visit my blog at
    http://indinc.blogspot.com
and spread the word…we need a permanent solution, not a controversy that will spout up all over again a few years down the line.

  97. Sicilian (keep guessing... and you know that) Says:

The root cause for all this anguish is that Hinduism is not a “community” based religion, but mostly a “self” based religion. It is emphasises only on the progress of self rather than community. It has no text to help poor lower caste people (it does have text for helping poor upper castes). And people really dont care of helping others unless they become the suffers. I guess in total there might be just 2% of the total upper who support the existing reservations, leave alone any new ones. I am not saying if reservations are right or wrong. The manifestations of this anguish (both from upper and lower castes) might be different. But if people dont really move along with the community, then these kind of bitterness is bound to happen. Well upper caste people should stop fooling themselves and become more compassionate towards there brothers and sisters , instead of saying, that because of him/her I lost my seat. (Imagine the impact of burnt that can arouse, if they start thinking the same for generations). The final simple solution is inter caste as well as inter class marriages. (a bitter pill.. not me or anyone from my family!! huh?) :))

    Peace.

  98. Sicilian (keep guessing... and you know that) Says:

Oh by the way Sahil and Shwetz. Talking of your apple logic, it wont be wrong to say that certain baskets have less % of rotton apples than others? ;) Why arent such % published.

  99. Karan Cheema Says:

    Dear Friends,

Almost everyday I get updates by SMS or on my mail ID on this subject. But I personally think that we too are equally responsible. Politicians can dare to act foolish because they know we are not their target customers nor do they have any threat from us.(I have Deliberately used the commercial term because they [politicians] are in politics not for social welfare but for there own welfare at the cost of the society)START PLAYING ACTIVE ROLE IN THE SOCIETY.
ARE WE READY FOR ANOTHER REVOLUTION!
    CAN WE CHALLENGE THEIR POSITION?
    CAN WE DARE TO CHANGE THE S Y S T E M ?
    CAN WE ATLEAST………….V O T E?

    K Cheema

  100. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

    Hey tanya,
where exactly will strikes get us?
I have been sayin since so long that we need to come up with better methods of getting messages to our so called wise politicians(they are wise but only when it comes to gettin votes). There are much better methods of changing things rather than just keep on sayin that you are against sumthin. Give them solutions and if they don’t consider them, challenge them publicly.
I like what Mr. Karan Cheema says, who the hell are we if we just keep sayin that the govt is wrong, infact who are we to say that also. If we are so intensely against it then the time is for action. We have to challenge their decision and hence we need to challenge their position.
Its very easy to go out on the road and protest, any tom dick and harry can do it. The followers of these very politicians do it all the time, if you think you are better, come up with an alternative - not one which improves our position, but one which improves the position of the economy as a whole. CAN WE DARE TO CHANGE THE SYSTEM???
We are talking about education here and we want to do something that even our very education terms as “hooliganism”. Get together people and apply brains for once, bring out facts in the public, bring out alternatives, bring out how we can improve.
And yes, if there are rotten apples in the lot then instead of throwing them away, think of how we can have a better harvest in the future…
Hey Shwetz, do send me also an invite, my email address is indinc.blog@gmail.com

Trust the CPI(M) to uter all the right words nowadays!!! Read this http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1536117.cms

In effect this only shows that it is best to CONFUSE AND CONFOUND!! You do this and your opponents will not know where to look to!!!

But frankly,,, quota is not the solution… everyone knows that but nobody in politics will ever concede this except for a few like Kapil Sibal and others!!!

So let us join hands like Hitesh has said./../ call him up!!!!

  102. Sicilian (keep guessing... and you know that) Says:

Quota is enforced , caused as I said , people dont want to change on their own. I work in an IT company and I feel “caste” mentality in every area. Not the discrimination kind, but that one work is superior to the other , for example , “web design” is inferior to “programming” and the likes. These are the root causes for starting up problem. As I said, treat all equal, all kind of work, all kind of people, irrespective of caste, class, race, creed etc. Thats the only solution. Government is just trying to get those straight, by trying to achieve.

  103. SUDEEP Says:

    BRAVO! ARJUN SINGH!!
Youve just earned a place in History!!!

You will go down in history as the SECOND man in independent India (the honorary position going to the mendicant who started it all - VPSingh) Who has divided india right down to the seams.

We blame the British for dividing the country into Hindus and Muslims.
Our decendants will blame these two shortsighted leaders as the men who divided india to the lines we existed 500 years ago : Caste,Feudal and communal kingdoms..

I came from an REC where a computer sceince seat went to a 27000 ST ranker…where SC/STs get 14 books from book bank which they NEVER shared with merit(who got 6 books and all of them old editions..SC/ST books are refurbished and bought every year, whilst General merit are done once in 4 years)
Most of the reserverd category fellow students( and this is fact : 24 out of class of 68 never finished engg-one lakh rs per student per year by gvt GONE, 22 of them were from SC/ST and 2 from merit) never completed their degrees. How can a 29000 ranker even CONTEMPLATE to take his degree seriously.?

I have a couple of ST friends who are for a lack of a better word, BRILLIANT…they feel sick to be part of the hamstring culture Dr Ambedkar initiated…he KNOWS..no one will EVER take him seriously when he tells ppl that he achieved (119 rank IIT) everything by merit!!!

And from the looks of THIS blog.. I can already see a latent war brewing between two classes of ppl who ordinarily might have been normal, healthy social people, if given the chance to aargue about a more saner subject!!

    BRAVO ARJUN SINGH!!!!

More than 10,000 members have joined these

    Lets increase the number.

Is there any talented engineer here who can hack the govt websites servers so that we can post our articles there too.

It would be a big technical jolt

I am trying to get into FTII for advanced course in film direction. It is also falling into the list. There are 12 seats. If 6 of them get reserved for SC,ST and two for Mharashtra Quota, Am I not a citizen of India

  108. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

I have just received information that one of the students protesting in Delhi has expired owing to the ongoing hunger strike. I do not know how true it is but the news is getting around and getting around very fast.
I have also come to know that the media hasn’t been allowed to cover it and spread the word around. What sort of a democracy is this which does not let it’s people know what is happening in the country!!!
I am very sure that all politicians would argue that this news hadn’t been let out because it would have led to havoc around the state. Well, my answer to all of them would be that if they are so scared of expression of public opinion then they should not have created such a situation in the first place. What they are doing is nothing but an insult to this martyr’s memory.
This individual has given his life for a cause, please do not let it be in vain…

  109. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

I do not have any confirmation on this matter and if anyone knows anything bout all this, please do come out and speak up. People need to know whether it is true or not.

  110. Revolt Says:

    Hi Sahil

If it is true that a student had expired it’s the time to show these politicians they are just a filthy creatures of god not a king.

We have to make a mass revolution over the issue.

  111. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

You know what I am more worried about, if it has happened then it will cause ruckus around the country, it will flare up the youth and the last thing I want is that such things should continue…

  112. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

IIM-A HAS GONE AGAINST THE BILL

The govt has recommended that they will introduce the bill in a phased manner, however, have they realised that they may be able to pump in enough cash to increase the infrastructure accordingly, but can they even bring out competitive faculty. Premier institutes like IIM Ahmedabad are already short of faculty and are striving to maintain the staff to student ratio at a competitive level and the govt has been plannin to increase the no. of students to a level where staff would not even be enough to impart education, let alone quality education.
IIM alumni have remarked that the panel that has been created to look into the alternatives of this bill so that both sides are satisfied should consist of industry and institute representatives.
This is where our brains come in…I say that this panel should also consist of a student representative. If the govt is so confident that the step they are taking is totally right then there should be one of us sittin there to tell them where they are going wrong.
Now we need to tell Arjun Singh that initially he wanted to hold talks, but that is not enough, we want to take part in the decision making, especially when you are talking about our future.

  113. DisappointedINDIANinUSA Says:

I agree with Sahil..these things inevitably leads to frusration in youth..put that together with anger against abuse of equality and a bunch of flamed youths cornered and you get Rajiv Goswami and hundreds of innocent youths whove taken on the martyr route for getting their points across.

These students have done no other crime than being born in a system as ridiculous and corrupt as ours is.

If gandhi could make an adminstration leave a nation, cant we? Im not talking ahimsa(please…lets face it leaders would want nothing more than seeing their faces in the media constantly….i really doubt barabarians like paswan, mulayam singh, arjun singh and countless others have a soul or a logical bent of mind…)
but I am talking about consistent petitions, dharnas and gheraos to get through to the politiacan’s thicks skulls…WE are NOT taking this lightly.

  114. Sicilian (keep guessing... and you know that) Says:

There is no use of discussing with people who dont make comments based on stats. probably thats why some people left this forum. One cant really argue with insanes. Stick with statistics as I mentioned earlier. Truth is what we need, not feelings.

  115. Shwetz Says:

wat stats?? Fcuking Fake Reserved Category certificates are available all over the country and wat stats??

  116. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

    Allow me Shwetz,
So, you want me talk on the basis of stats now, here we go :
    16,885 colleges
    99.54 lakh students
    4.57 lakh teachers
courtesy, the website of the HRD Ministry, http://www.education.nic.in/

As I must say that any normal person can figure out from the above statistics that we do not possess enough infrastructure to cater to present strength of students and the govt is considering increasing the no of seats. Infact, even the GoM made by the PM to look into this matter has come out with this in it’s report, what was their use when they had to say the same thing that was said before.
More stats : At an elementary level, we have 3.16 million teachers which comes to 3.70 teachers per school(information courtesy District Information System for Education)
We dont even have enough teachers at the elementary level, that means we do not even have enough teachers with basic qualifications and we are talkin bout teachers at a level where students stop learning from books and instead it is the teacher’s experience which reflects on them.
These are the stats as I have found on the internet myself. These are things that not many people are aware of because they are never brought out in the open by our highly “democratic” govt.
Ask the govt to justify the lack of infrastructure and faculty in this country and then ask them to justify their methods of increase. If you want discussions to be based on stats, thats not too hard, you just need to try a little to find what you need.

  117. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

I have posted the report on the District Information System for Education on my website. You can read it there. Its very interesting the way they have hidden the discrepancies in the report and highlighted small points that show the our education system to be well established.

  118. Sicilian (keep guessing... and you know that) Says:

I am saying statistics of the number of people from each caste on passing of SSC,HSC,Gradauated,Post Graduated and people in jobs/ People in Civil jobs, % of each castes in public/private sectors, economic indexes of each castes, average life span of each caste, health indexes of each caste, and respective % population of each! Dare publish that if u can!

  119. Sicilian (keep guessing... and you know that) Says:

If you publish those, the same govn. which you think is against you would feel like a big relief for backing you secreatly all these years.

  120. selvakumar Says:

i want to know the % of resevation to various sections at present then i can comment on this

  121. Sicilian Says:

SC - 15% ST - 7.5% PH-3% (not sure) OBC (not sure) Rest general.

  122. Revolt Says:

    Oye Sicilian

Kya tu agree karta hai ki SC ST aur OBC mein dimaag ki kami hai.

    Agar hai.

    To karo reservation.

Tujhe pata hai India mein jab diploma ki admission hoti hai to SC wala 30 % par bhi paas mana jata hai, aur general caste wala 40 %.

To iska matlab sarkaar manti hai SC,ST,OBC mein dimaag ki kami hai , tu manta hai kya.

Facts ki baat karta hai tu

yeh bata agar ek SC ka baap mantri hai, us ke paas lakhon kroron ki haraam ki daulat hai, yaa fir ek SC ka baap bussiness man hai , jisne jane kitne logon ki lagake mehal bana rakhe hain , to kya aise logon ko reservation chahiye. Aur yeh fact hai ki aisi bigdi auladein hi padai mein zero hoti hain.

Aur ek aadmi SC hone ke bavjud bhi merit mein aata hai. Use reservation ki zarurat nahin padi. Voh hamari tarah computeron par saari raat nahin baithta, usne lamp post ke niche baith ke tyaari ki hai. Usne SC kote ka fayda nahin uthaya. Use Quota nahin scholarship diya jana chahiye.

Aur ek gareeb insan jo ki kote mein nahin aata, merit lata hai par phie bhi voh fees dene ke kabil nahin hai. Uska kya hoga. Is bat ka jawaab de tujhe tere sare facts mein clear karunga. Yeh mera waada hai.

Mein ne diploma kia tha kyunki mein padai mein acha nahin tha. Tab mere saath ek aisa hi ldka pada jo general category se tha. Usne bahranvi ke baad bhi diploma kia, halanki voh CET aur baki ke engg. ke tests mein merit par tha, par uske father ke paas itna paisa nahin tha fees bharne ke liye.

Aur is desh mein scholarship paane ke liye gareeb nahin balki so called SC,ST,OBC hona padta hai.

Kya tujhe scheduled ka matlab pata hai.

Kya tujhe lagta hai ki SC ST hum se alag dikhte hain

    Kya vo insaan nahin hain

Kya voh bandar jaise dikhte hain

Kya unke abhi bhi poochh lagi hai.

Bata jawab de in baton ka

  123. Sicilian Says:

I dont understand the kind of english u wrote, but I can definitely say u guys have no common sense, You do not want to understand others problem. As I said before that I am not in favour of or against reservation, but in favour of humanity. I know tons of immigrants who came from former pakistan to settle in india and made tons of money, but those who r here for generations couldnt make that. Now its understood why is that (dont say they worked hard, or I will again ask for statistics and you have prove why only certain caste “works hard”). So money cannot be a criteria of talent. And Bloody Revolt and Shwetz why dont u marry off lower castes if they r not so different. Dont argue with me, just put statistcs , the ones i mentioned before, and people who read my columns are smart enough to know what is right and what is wrong. Good Bye no use wasting time with insanes.

  124. nitin Says:

    Hello,
I have been closely following the development on this issue. I think we are missing something here. We are not seeing the real issue here. Why that reservation is is being offered? The reason is politicians need a divided nation to run their shops. Over the past few years they saw, we as a nation have started moving on a path of growth based on the principals of giving opportunity to those who deserve a chance. With IT revolution going on, slowly nation and its people were finding a way to get past the political red tape and its out dated policies.
Seeing this the clever animal the politicians are, they figured out if they can create a class of 27% of population based on their caste they will have a sizable vote bank to milk for years to come and hence the reservation. All this is going to do is to make our nation a society which formalizes the divisions based on caste and makes sure we keep fighting among our self, ignoring the fact having sub standard students or employees only helps in creating a sub standard economy. Today’s politicians can put English to shame when it comes to divide and rule.
So since I have so much to preach, what do I have to offer? Simply put, this is a social phenomenon which needs a social solution. We need to create a situation where people won’t use reservation quota even when they fall under it. The way to do that is differentiate our self. We need to tell everyone that we got where we are because we are qualified for the opportunity.
Imagine going to a hospital, there are 2 doctors in front of you. One who got 45% marks and is a doctor because he belongs to a particular caste. Another who got 80% marks and was selected because he has got the credentials to be a doctor. Whom would you choose?
Now imagine you don’t know their background, they both look same to you and you’ll hardly care. But if I know every doctor who got in a college through competition wears a blue ribbon on his left wrist, I now have choice. Now I know who is treating me. Over the time, people would start avoiding doctors, engineers, lawyers who don’t have that ribbon of equality on their wrist. People can cheat on it, but again idea is to show people that we are different in the sense we got where we are through fair means.
Everything starts small, and become big if enough number of people are behind it, I want to create a situation where people will be ashamed to avail the reservation. If they do, they will be known as door breaker for rest of their lives. We need to proud of the fact we achieved things without any reservation and we must wear it up our sleeves.
In the end, all I want from you all is to give it a thought. WE need to differentiate our self, tell this world how we got where we are and let them decide if they still want to avail services of a candidate who was not qualified to be a doctor in first place.
    Thanks
    Nitin Srivastava
(I have my ribbon on my wrist, and am explaining to everyone I meet what it stands for)

  125. Sicilian Says:

The divisions are already there, one can only either ignore them (as all of you guys and gals do here) or rectify them (as very few people really want). The sunday matrimonials are a proof of it. Dont say India is progressing ( we know farmer suicides) and dont say Hindus are one ( we know how insane people when it comes to jobs and marriages) . Look at facts, study statistics, make real solutions. Ofcourse, If you guys really want.

  126. Udit Says:

Hey guys I watched the Karan Thapar face to face with Arjun Singh on CNBC TV18…all I can say is that the Reservation Policy is good for nothing..and is just vote bank politics…. reasons:
Karan Thapar: Do u know, what is the total percentage of population does OBC’s make?
    Arjun Singh: NO Answer
    Karan Thapar:23.5%
Karan Thapar: DO u still believe that Reservation be increased to 27%?
    A S:The policy is passed by parliament..who m i to believe..
Karan Thapar:Do u know only 2/3rd of the existing OBC quota is used rest 1/3 seats under OBC quota goes waste in all universities… No one get chance to get that much needed education on those remaining Quota seats….Do you still believe that reservation be increased…More Quota..more vacant seats…
AS:The policy is passed by parliament….(NO answer actually)
Karan Thapar:will increase of seats is the best way out..??
    AS:one of the way…
KT:Do you know that there is 1.25 lakh vacancies in IITS,IIMS, reputed colleges and out of these 40% in Teaching positions… IIT’s says they are 30% low on teaching staff…. wont the increase of seats effect the quality of education….
    AS:The figures u r giving have prejudices..
KT: these are official govt figures…Parliamentary Commitee/UGC.. do you think these bodies have prejudices…??
    AS:I mean u r not goin in depth….(NO satisfactory answer again)…

This was just an snap shot of the entire converstaion… try to catch the repeat telecast… to get the better picture…
All I can say is The reservation is nothin but a vote bank policy… was introduced on an ADHOC basis without any survey or informations…
I condemn this cruel act of dividin the nation completey… are you with me..??

  127. wakeup Says:

Sumathi was not wrong in saying we should not attack the SC/ST/OBCs. I too think we should attack the Govt for wrong policies or non-implementation of the right policies. But sumathi wrong about IITians and people who go abroad. If people are going abroad that also is the fault of Govt and not theirs. Like the SC/ST.OBCs should be taken care of so too IITIans and anybody else who has merit should be taken care of by providing an environment where it is fun to work, can learn and can earn too. If somebody is going abroad it is not for others to grudge them their scope. By doing so Sumathi is only contradicting her (or his) own projected wisdom in looking at problem cause and not the effect.

Really I find it irritating that some of us are fighting with others when we should be fighting the Govt. This is why Politicians know (anybody who ever ran elections know) that there will always be people for and against issues and parties, because basically human beings are very selfish lots. When we have a common ground OUR ANGER AGAINST QUOTA,, we have come here to joj hands. TOMORROW if we have a bucket of water ONLY for so many of us here and we are thirsty, gone wll be the solidarity and we will fight among ourselves too and not only against SC/ST/OBCs and Sumathi and Sicilian. This is why nothing ever happens.. and soon people will become quiet and Govt will have its ways.

About Sumathis’ argument that SC/STs and OBCs need education there is no denying this fact. Has anyone here who are protesting Quota ever denied that? I do not think so!!! We are only debating here whether Quota is the right way or something else!! I have said earlier that to my mind we should first see why these people are denied education. If we know the cause then we can find the solution.

CAN ANYBODY TELL ME (and with or without Statistics) and that includes Sicilian and Sumathi (OM has run away after arguing with me without reason) why these people are not able to educated themselves?
    1. Is it because they are poor? If so then Monetary help is the answer.

    2. Does schjools in villages and small towns refuse entry to them because they are from lower caste? Then too quota is not the answer.. Govt whip and laws and public support is the answer… but still quota may help here … we can think on this.. if only we know what are the facts..(Facts not statistics.. as Statistics do not say anything at all ,)

    3. I asked about schools in villages and small towns.. as I know for sure this is not so in big towns and cirities.. I have never seen my school or any schoold I know refusing admission because of caste.. But then I may NOT KNOW EVERYTHING.

    4. Come to colleges now.. again the same question.. do they refyse admissions if you are a low caste? If so then again quota can be the answer.. BUT I do not believe it for any college!!!! After all even Govt is at first talking about implementing Quota in Govt institutions.. and I do NOT BELIEVE ANY GOVT INSTITUTION DENIES ANYONE FROM ADMISSION BECAUSE OF LOW CASTE..

So where does quota come in? Why is quota needed? Even if there are some here who want Quota WHY not SPELL OUT THE REASONS FOR THE SAME? Why ask and argune on wrong and silly matters like statistics and all? Rather tell us why quota is required ? And do not just tell us “Quota is required to help Poor or low caste people and so on” That is not the reply to the question.. You have to say why these people are not getting education and how quota helps and say it for schools, then say it for colleges and then for PG and then for Post PG courses..

I want the answers please and not fighting.. just sane people talking. THANKS./

As for Sicilian he is too right that we should talk with statistics.. but frankly I HAVE NOT UNDERSTOOD ANYTHING YOU HAVE SAID (I MUST BE STUPID) except for the demand for statistics… BUT THAT IS ALL. I have not understood the reasons for your statistics.. or what all you have said about Hinduism.. and all. I know some of us and you maybe think you are a great intelligent person.. much above the ordinary mortals like us.. but please come down to our levels and talk to us in our language and tell me what you mean and what are you saying.. And please do not waste time askling for statistics.. if you have anythig give your figures.. and then tell us what you want to prove.. And then answer my questions..

    1. Why do the SC/ ST/ OBC get no education? Is it because of money or low caste? Okay if you want to talk with statistics and can prove something.. we are eager to listen (friends do not choke his voice– let us hear him out) But you can tell us without statistics even.

    2. Do the rich SC/ST/OBCs miss out on education?

Asnwer these two simple questions.. I SAW THAT OM RAN AWAY… anybody from SC/ST/OBC here PLEASE answer these questions.. and make us understand.. CARRY US WITH YOU if you want us to stop objecting to quota.. DO NOT FIGHT.

  128. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

Very simple funda in life people….whenever we are faced with a problem, we keep asking questions pertaining to how the problem was caused and we keep fighting over it.
Is it so hard to see that the problem is in our face, all of us already know the reasons, why are we wasting time fighting over it?
Has anyone as yet asked one simple question : WHAT IN GOD’S NAME COULD BE THE SOLUTION??
FACE IT GUYS….RESERVATION IS HAPPENING….NOONE CAN DO ANYTHIN BOUT IT….HALF OF AIIMS ON HUNGER STRIKE HASNT BEEN ABLE TO CHANGE THAT….RESERVATION IS COMING IN….RESERVATION IS HAPPENING….
Many of you would say that we are saying that it should not happen…Have we actually realised what would be the consequences of cancellation of this bill completely…There would be more ruckus and confusion and this time it would be on the part of those who are for this bill, those who are far more than us in number, those who far more rigid and stronger than us when it comes to holding strikes….
THE COUNTRY STANDS DIVIDED at the moment and what all crap are we talkin…someone wants to justify the bill with statistics and others want to justify themselves…someone is talkin of humanity and others are talkin of selfish human desires….
ARE WE THAT DUMB THAT WE CANNOT SEE THE BIGGER PROBLEM STARING AT US IN THE FACES…ARE WE THAT BLIND…
There cannot be reservation and there cannot be “no” reservation….it is impossible that that one illogically dumb statement(which again was not based on statistics) can be ignored now….it has caused its impact and reservation will be there….
Instead of fighting over petty differences, cant we find a common solution that will make both sides happy….

  129. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

    CANT WE CO-EXIST PEACEFULLY???

  130. nitin Says:

i am amazed we still have people among us who think we can have a intelligent dialogue with politicians. wake up, open your eyes. we are dealing with people worse then pimps.

  131. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

Dude, we are dealing with pimps, its our fault, coz people like you always come up and say that this is not possible and that is not possible. Have we tried? and anyways, even if you think we have tried in the past and havent gotten anywhere then maybe we just dint try enuf. Screw those bloody pimps man, its our country…we’ll go all the way to do sumthin…join hands together and its gonna becum a lil easy…keep fighting on this forum and we’ll just keep fighting.

  132. wakeup Says:

So what does Sahil mean? That only he is INTELLIGENT? So why does he come here at all? Co-exist peacefully? Bull Shit!!. We do not embrace peace on our free will but we are forced to. Saying that “we should not ask questions but arrive at solutions” is easy. So WHAT IS THE SOLUTION? If Sahil and some here are so intelligent then why are they asking “what is the solution”?

We all know nothing can be done? Fine. then why do you all come here and keep shouting? Ha!!

Yes I agree with Nitin… that we cannot hold an Intelligent Dialogue with Politicians or EVEN their stooges amongst us who calls for peaceful co-existence!! WAKE UP !! And if you really want to do something….. DO IT.. Frankly I do not know what.. I know inside my heart that this bloody country will never see reason… So do not blame IITians and IIMs and even others who leave the country.. bloody hell they should !! Go away.. from this country while they can.. and leave it to the mediocres… and the people who want to co-exist…

Since all parties have an interest in vote banks… since the existing parties will never come and rule this country rightly.. it is HIGH TIME SOMEONE COMES FORWARD TO LEAD A NEW PARRTY FORMED BY US AND SUPPORTED BY US.. I do not know what this new party is doing.. but there is a new party LOKPARITRAN… see their web site.. floated by IITians and Proffessionals… will they SEE TO INDIA’S FUTURE? Who knows.. for now my dear all go back to your studies or jobs or whatever you do.. and leave the country to be ruled by people who want to co-exist.. and ask for solutions without giving one..

  133. shantanudas Says:

Guys Guys!! Many of us know how taxpayers money is wasted on splurging.. today’s newspapers said Govt needs Rs. 80,000,000,000/- TO SET UP THE ADDITIONAL SEATS TO PROTECT THE GENERAL CATEGORY STUDENTS.. Do you think they will be ever able to do it? Not if the govt people.. pur own fellow citizens Splurge ON TAX PAYER’S MONEY TO ENJOY LIFE.. Here is JUST ONE Picture of A GOVT VEHICLE.. CARRYING FAMILY OF SOMEBODY FROM UP GOVT (AS IT IS UP NUMBER) TYO THE DELHI AIRPORT.. WHAT IS THE CAR? FORD ENDEAVOUR… WHAT IS THE COST? Some Rs 17 LACS??? sO HOW WILL THE POOR OBCs/ SC/STs GET EDUCATED? POOR PEOPLE.. It is they NOT US who SHOULD PROTEST AND TAKE UP THIS FIGHT AGAINST GOVT… PEOPLE who call themselves supporters of SC/ST/OBCs should be the ones to fight with GOVT to get them their rights!! Otherwise the money that should go their ways.. will go into GOVT SPLURGING.

  134. Sicilian Says:

There is only one solution and thats “philanthropy”, without that nothing is possible. Unfortunately, thats not possible, we are a bunch of selfish crooks, who only realize problems when we start drowning in it. Probably the government knows and thats why it pushes harsh things as reservations and only when people get burnt they start assembling in groups. I am 110% sure these ones who are assembling at protest never could in there life, thought of any poor or oppressed person lying in the corner of road (neither their parents could have taught them to care). I am sure these are the people who point to poor and say , “these guys have no souls, they have no money for food, but still they drink”. For them “love” exists only within castes. Education and Money are no solutions, so is reservation. The only solution is each and every person should honestly help some other (at least 1) person who is educationally, financially, intellectually lower than him at least by 1 degree (how many of you have??, I am sure maximum people either stay with people of there own caliber, class, caste. Not bad but also give 30 mins of day encouraging and advising others). Intellectually people should not be differ much no matter there class, caste, region. I doubt (and so does the ruling party, I guess) that this can happen.

  135. Sicilian Says:

By the way, brain drain, because of reservation is the greatest hype (I cant control laughing inside me). People who move to other countries, dont give a shit about the country before they move (they may become like their motherland later, thats the latest fad I guess.) People do whatever needed to go for better lifestyles, that has been happening for many years. The dalit women who get paraded naked makes a small paragraphs throughout generations, but “doctors” getting beaten makes such a big news in all the leading media’s. This is a country of hypocrites. God Bless this country.

  136. tanya Says:

sicilian u seem to b so disillusioned..!!! here its not a matter of concern 4 d poor…..but a matter of prejudice….no1 wud hv been against d resrvations if dey wud hv helped d poor….but dats not what is happenin here…dey r strikin castes…..a female studies in d same skul, reads d same books, takes coachi from d same centre as me….but gets qualified with 40% n i dont evn with a 70%…..my fault being only that i do not belong to the required caste n she is an sc…!! is that justified….
no1 wud hv raised voice if sum1 poor wud hv been helped out, if they were given financial assistance, if seats were reservd for those who actually needed it….but here its all politics…
    get PRactical dude…talk a bit more sense….

  137. neal Says:

well..bas itna hi kahunga koi mughe bandook de de ..arjun singh ko ura dunga.

  138. neal Says:

now for the ppl who kinda wanaa support the reservation stuff, ill like to give them a suggestion like what abt reservation in the army (men who loose lives fighting for the country).an what abt reservatn in marraige like u have to marry a sc/st..
its not abt underprevileged ppl…u shuldnt talk abt that living in india thats so called “free democratic, secular nation ” go an look arnd in the slums. HOw many of those ppl u think get the benefit of reservatn. Reservatn or no reservatn things for them isnt going to change.its the creamy layer that derives the benefit out of it. I myself have a frend who is son of a well known politician in ranchi,he is presently in 12 th standard ..he drives an INNOVA ,has three handsets two of which are of nokia N series..and ask him abt studies he says “are yaar BIT MESRA me quota se to ghus hi jayenge”.
well ppl who like to hear abt facts BIT mesra is a renouned engineering coll. last yr i got a rank 18739 and one of my neighbour got 103477 an guess what am sitting at home and he is there in the coll. with EEE branch!!! Am sick of all these crap that politicians have to say on the so called “under previleged”.
if at all there has to be any reservatn it must be on economic standards of the family and that too with the restrictn that once availed noone of the kids can avail the benefit of quta.

IF the govt. wants to uplift the needy they shud do that but dont supress those who have risen on the basis of their merit.

  139. neal Says:

I want to know if the news that Subhash srivastava of AIIMS has died , is true?? does neone of u have any information on this.

  140. wakeup Says:

Dalit women geting beaten is not a news because the nes is suppressed by the powerful people who beat them up, it is not the fault of the doctors that their news is not suppressed. Yeah that is the India!! And that is why nobody– quota supporter or otherwise should think the govt is theirs!! That is why I say people here should stop biting each other… you bite ony because you are helpess too. So why put up the face of one who is wronged and as if the doctors who fight the quota are the ones who have wronged you??

And you probably did not get it right.. it is not quota that drives away IITians from India it is the systems and the lack of concern for the upliftment of people. And everybody has a right in his country.. the poor, the dalits, the low castes, the upper castes and yeah even the RICH!! And so when you can cry that the poor and /or the dalits are not getting their rights.. you have no right to deny the ‘IITIans’ — non -IITians too included as this terms is only being used by me to denote MERIT… and the meritorious DO HAVE A RIGHT TO DEMAND THEIR RIGHTS.. WHO ARE YOU TO STOP THAT? Rather you should think what you should do for the DALITS AND THOSE whom you feel sad for..

Yeah you are RIGHT AT LAST!! PHILANTHROPY IS THE ANSWER PERHAPS… THERE ARE SO MANY STINKING RICH IN THIS COUNTRY.. WHO CAN IF THEY WANT ADOPT SOME POOR VILLAGE, some poor student and so on.. AND i THINK THERE ARE SOME WHO DOES THAT.. I think Narayana Murthy’s wife does that.. and she is from IIT (probably) or at least her husband is.. so this is a solution you have proposed. GOOD..

  141. wakeup Says:

And I have still not got my answers to my questions.. why is quota necessary? [In one of my messages above the questions are there]

Of course Nitin said politicians do not reply to questions.. that they are pimps… well I still think people who are fighting here for the SC/STs/OBCs and think that they should therefore fight the general category people are not PIMPS.. and so am still asking.. teach me.. and tell me why quota is necessary..

Sri CHANDRABHAN PRASAD, DALIT ACADEMIC AND WRITER said to TOI today something that should open the eyes of the stupid suporters of quota here.. read it here at http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/1540862.cms

You will see that the problem with sc/st/obc students is that they are not allowed to study and continue.. as they are pulled out for farming their lands… and so?? Sooo.. they do not get the basic education.. so they cannot enter college.. and so..? SO they need quota in colleges too !!

So when a little bit of monetary support at school levels for these students and not just to them but to their families too (so that they need not pull out their children to do the farming !!) can help them complete their education in school.

    AND THEN?
THEN SINCE PEOPLE SAY THERE IS MERIT AMONG SC/ST AND OBCs too,, surely if they complete schools.. they can compete with others for college admissions and not need quota!!

And so what is the crux of the problem? Even Sicilian whioe figthting with us has admitetd that money is the problem.. that poverty is the problem.. yea he has restricted himself to saying that ONLY DALITS ARE POORT!! WHAT A SILLY IDEA!!!

SO WHAT IS NEEDED IS QUOTA FOR ECONOMICALLT BACKWARD AND NOT FOR SC/ ST/OBCs.

And yes… has the Govt talked of implementing quota for economically poor??

  142. Sicilian Says:

Government surely makes them enter the college, but for sure I dont think its easy to get out as easy it could be easy to get in. (and I dont really feel its that easy to get in, the SC/ST list is equally competative as far as I could see). And IIT dropouts are notorious(Hell!! the IIT guys dont know this??) And those doctors who come across multitude of heridiatary diesases in some castes (who should they blame for this?? you blame for your seat and what about their life??) And why blame some poor new generation, immature SC/ST guys who flaunt off the new money, atleast they dont keep hiding tons of it as the vaishya community in India. Anyway, flauting is bad and needs to be changed and I think the percentage of those who are rich is less and percentage of people who says that I will get seat due to quota is even less (seeing the merit list it dosnt seem that easy). Well , reservation or no reservation, there is no solution for this disease, its old system and that which is old dies.

  143. Sicilian Says:

By the way any views on the alternatives on quota ? (If you feel honestly that something needs to be down for backward castes)

  144. Fascinating India, Fascinating World Says:

LINK TO MANDAL II — another blog where debate rages…

    QUOTA!!!…

  145. amg Says:

one thing is clear from the above debate/views that there is much hatred for SC/ST/OBCs and I think irrespective of any reservation the feeling is not going to change

it had been most welcome to have someone to bash up and swear to vent the ire and lower castes over the ages have provided the upper class a means to take out all their frustations and any attempt to deviate from the age old process is absolute no , no

I wonder with so much hatred in our heart how come we have avoided a civil war for so long

  146. Sicilian Says:

Some people got me wrong , economic criteria has not much to do with caste. Its like saying that even if Humayan lost all of his kingdom and had to flee, his next generation can come back even from extreme poverty. Or that even if so many hindu former pakistani immigrants come poor can still become rich after a generation.(read all my paragraphs before commenting). So really poverty is a thing of 1 or 2 generation , while caste disabilities continues for generations! Its because no one really thought them how to handle money! Now this dosnt mean being rich makes no difference at all, it makes a difference, but it is hyped too much. Mind you, I am not saying if reservations should be favoured or not, I cant comment on it, questions of OBC, are different from upper castes or SC/ST’s , which I am not able to fathom out. Very strong castes like jats, marathas, reddys come under OBC’s while there are also poor castes like mali’s and teli’s in OBC, I guess OBCs itself has upper and lower castes. Ahhhh…. its so complex…

free education, free food and free books and supplies, give these all to every OBC/SC/ST. and if they still cant get into a college through open competition, probebly they dont deserve it.
why promote incompetence, sub standard doctors/engineers by putting people in places they are not fit for. who wants to get operated by a doctor who scored 45% marks and took 10 years to graduate. any of my esteemed freinds who support reservation will probebly the only ones who prefer to get treated by such doctors (please see the sarcasm, i dont trust the intelligence of reservation supporters)

  148. tanya Says:

guys…a protest march from india gate on 28th may at 6 pm…..PLEASE BE THERE…..
spread the news around….let the whole of del be protestin on the roads…

  149. Sicilian Says:

Nitin and Tanya , you DONT WANT to LISTEN, to what is right or wrong. You have well learnt the policy of ignorance. (Thanks to your ancesters who have ignored them for thousand years) . Neither of you or your government/s could produce the statistics what I asked. They like you, DONT WANT TO. Now you people have even taken role of terrorists in the name of justice.(Nothing new taken your ancestral history of oppressors). What is wrong if government wants to increase seats now? Merit as well as social justice is preserved. (I am sure majority of you dont even want to sit near a reserved candidate). Change yourself or history does repeat itself. Learn from it.

  150. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

    Hey Mr. Wakeup,
why dont u do exactly what your name suggests…wake up…
its easy to blame others and harder to do stuff yourself. thats why i keep screamin out here to come up with a solution. if those ****in politician bastards cant come up with a solution which is acceptable to us then we should take charge.
if i would have been the only brainy one out here then i would have presented the solution, not requested everyone to plz think about all this in a logical way…
grow up u stupid ass…strikes are for those who cant thnk beyond that…i had a talk to the protesting resident doctors today and i am workin towards gettin them support from other avenues in my city….you guys are not the only ones who are doin sumthin…
stop this fight about what is wrong and what is right…find sumthin that is acceptable….
anyone can come on this forum and blame it on the politicians or the system or the govt, but who the **** are we if we cant do sumthin bout it ourselves…if you cant do anythin bout it then u have no right to interefere in it…

  151. nitin Says:

yeah sicilian, punish all the italians for what romans did centuries back, right. leave this nation at the mercy of unqualified IAS, doctors and engineers. and best of all, make sure caste system exists for another 1000 years by providing quota based on castes.
now coming to statistics, why should we provide you with any thing, if you know so much why dont you share it with everyone. why dont you provide the stats. you have asking all the time for stats to be provided, why not do some research on your own. oh you know what, now i get it. u want that too to be given to you for free, cause you just dont know how to acheive things by working hard and getting them yourself. how bout this, lets provide a quota in all stats studies done in the country, so all SC/ST/OBC will get a free copy of studies mailed to them for free. rest of us can do what is called research and find it out from library or net. but you are not getting it for free unless u force us through some kind of rule made by pimps called NETA and a whore house called PARLIAMENT.

  152. Revolt Says:

    Oye Scillian

Shwetz ka to mujhe pata nahin.

Agar tujhe lagta hai ki ek SC,ST ya OBC ladki se shadi karke desh ka bhala hota hai to theek hai

yeh le mera email ID creativelyperfect@yahoo.co.in

rishtey bhej is par main karta hoon

Tujhe pata hai yeh meri pehale se hi soch rahi after becoming something i will surely marry a needy girl. From the poor society of the country, Be ot a SC,ST,OBC or general. No dahej and no daj. It’s my promise not to you but to my self.

    And other thing

In Indiathe system of castes dates back to thousand years.

In the starting, castes were divided on the base of karma

Shudras were the people from lower part of society who used to work at lower posts as of labourers

Then came Vaishyas from the trading class

Then Kshatriyas from the warior class

Then came brahmans, the top most class as they were those who were good at studies.

But the system at that time was not rigid.

As Scillian has obliged me with the word bloody, I will too say:
A man who is from a lower caste, you read it carefully bloody Scillian, a person from a lower caste who studies well and get psoficiency in some art or science could get upto the caste of brahmans.
For an example as I am from Kshatriya class. But i am not a fighter. What I am proficient is my art. If there would have been not a rigid system i would have become a brahman.

Thias is the sytem which used to pervailed but with time rigidity pervailed in the system. And this is what we see in front of our eyes.

Arya Samaj had too followed the long old pattern. If sxcillian goes and clears Prabhakar in Sanskrit, He will become a shastri, a brahman.

This kind of caste system based on work pervailed. but it is too not the solution as one day it would again change to rigid.

We just need castes as surnames, not as a symbol of our position in society.

  154. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

hey mr. wakeup, why dont u do what ur name suggests…wake up…
you say i’m the most intelligent one out here…well, i wont say i’m more intelligent than u coz i dont know u, but surely more practical than u…
our ****ed up govt cannot come with an alternative solution so, either we keep protesting and the bill does not get implemented or as soon as the bill is cancelled, then the SC/ST start protesting…lets do one thing, lets all start protesting…lets all come to the streets and stop all work…we dont want to get ahead globally…how does that make a difference to our country….and even if it makes a difference to the country, why are we concerned…all of us are plain stupid that we come here to this blog everyday and exchange our views…
well mr. wakeup…is this what u want…coz this is what is happening….people are dyin for heavens sake and u have the cheek to blame the system…who are we to blame the system if we dont have the gutts to change it….

  155. Udit Says:

Even Arjun Singh doesnt know statistics… He took this decision as if he is 5 year old kid…. refer to my last post for ignorance of Arjun Singh.

  156. Revolt Says:

    Hey
    Udit

U can still sneak peak that conversation on

    http://www.ibnlive.com/news/decision-on-quota-is-final-arjun/11063-4.html

  157. Sicilian Says:

Revolt, Everyone who would read your view would surely know that u have taken the highly optimistic view of the caste system. Well if you dont know, I would add more, The Sudras whom we say the present day OBC’s were the part of city day to day life. Apart from these 4, there was a fifth caste of SC/ST who did not belong to any of the 4 and was not a part of city/village life and were kept outside the city/village. All of them were had there profession in dealing with dead bodies, either of animals or human and were most often involved in scavenging dead animals. So now you say if such a person studied sanskrit, would become a kind of pandit!! give me a break!! Forget it, this is a country of upper caste, dominately hindi speaking hindus, even the government. People talk of merit and strengthening primary education, ridiculous….

  158. DisappointedInUSA Says:

come on guys…this has split the country in HALF.

even the ones who support quotas here, im sure in ur hearts u beleive that quotas should benefit only the economically weaker sections…..the entire country will cheer if the govt implements say 20% quoate for families with gross

  159. Sicilian Says:

No , DisappointedInUSA, dosnt government in USA support Red Indians and Alaskan Natives and Blacks (not sure of it) ? And I also know government in USA , publish a lot of data regarding performances of each races in all the areas including health.(one example http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list_uids=10646303&dopt=Citation you can find tons more if u give a search) WHY DOSNT INDIAN GOVERNMENT DO??? THEY DONT WANT TO! ITS A BLOODY COUNTRY OF UPPER CASTES, MOSTLY HINDI SPEAKING HINDUS. South Indian upper castes are no better then there northern counterparts, but somewhat decent I belive (though dont know much).
I wont be suprised that if economic crietria is applied it would benefit still the poor upper castes. Poorer in backward wont be benefitted (and you all know that). OBC’s do have a lot of rich people from generations, sc/st’s may have only 1-2 generations down the line and that too going to extremes from 1 generation to next! So why dosnt u people cry for a neutral team to do research!

  160. nitin Says:

    sicilian,
you just dont get it. even in US there is no quota, just affirmative action. no nation in its right mind will promote incompetency. but guess you dont see it. and stop begging for stats, even your hero arjub singh hasnt got any. why dont u ask netas like him? oh u wont, cause u guys benefit from lack of data, taking up the seats and job you dont deserve on basis of your caste. lemme know if you need some clutches to walk, u can hardly stand on merit.
    Nitin

  161. Sicilian Says:

I never said Arjun singh is my hero and I never said reservation is needed. Read my comments carefully and then comment.

  162. Sicilian Says:

Reservation to me is an affirmative action, u can suggest some other ways apart from that, based on stats. Its better that government (the upper caste government) provides a seprate homeland for all backwards.

  163. nitin Says:

how bout providing free education, food, book and supplies. as far as your views, you can keep asking for stats that dont exist, goes to show how far can you think. seperate homeland, take it if you can or u want that to given to u on platter to, like the jobs and seats.

  164. Sicilian Says:

Ofcourse on a platter, dont want to waste time on demanding what belongs to us.

  165. nitin Says:

belongs to you all LOL, cause you cant get it through fair competition. atleast you accept you cannot acheive anything through your hard work and fair play. you need clutches to wal, though you have 2 fit legs.

  166. Sicilian Says:

Talk logic u dumbo, people who dont have anything logical to argue come down to your level of demoralizing others based on ancestory. States like maharashtra, tamilnadu have already proven, what is achievable and what is not through reservations.

  167. nitin Says:

reality bites, truth hurts. get off this discussion, u cant take the truth. all you can do is call people names.

  168. Sicilian Says:

Anyway I am leaving this forum , I cant wake up those people who pretend to sleep.

  169. nitin Says:

good for you, this is place for people who can compete, have self respect and acheive things the fair way, you guys wont take free education and other facilities cause you want free jobs and free seats, i pitty you all.

  170. jagian Says:

    Hello there,

Why cant all the students, unite for once whether its engineering or medical or mba, or schools. I believe , we must now retire all the politicians, including the likes of Mr. Togadia, BJP , Congress. Let all the youngsters of India, irrespective of caste, work together and throw these old people out of the politics. I believe there is another way to solving this, if all the students get together instead of being divided into caste. This is a politicians gimmick of playing cards like britishers did of dividing the country for their petty gains. If this the way our country and country men are to be humiliated in the name of democracy by the politicians, then we should either denounce democracy or the bloody politicians. Let us form our own political voice from jammu to kanyakumari , from Gujarat to Assam, all the nook and corners of our country, poor and rich , no caste, let us work for the betterment of our brethren who need our help to avail the basic education, and have equal opportunities in the basic education. Let it not be based on caste . if we can form our political voice, which is inclusive of all the sections of the students. I believe we can rule better than these morons, better than the so called intellectuals of the society, Mr. Prime Minister, and the so called lover of the students, and igniting their minds, Mr. President. As soon Mr. Kalam got the presidents post he conveniently forgot what he stood for. Are the youngsters asset to the country, or these old dying shallow thinking politicians, the asset of the country? This debate conveniently forgets that by reservations. It only makes us more mean minded and small thinking. That s exactly how the ministers, PM , Ms.Gandhi, and last but not the least the President is. Do medicos never have a right to strike? Its like killing a person but saying that raising a voice is illegal, its immoral. Shame on our courts. Why cant they restrict the politicians? Shame on the judges and the lawyer, and the petitioners.
Let us as students rise together, like the French students did, show the world and these corrupt forces that we are a power to reckon with. Move over old time thinkers. We can make better reforms, and policies, let the students, the knowledgable force rise. Let us make our country proud, and not disrobe her. Mr. Arjun singh is like dushasan and the PM , President is like the drithrashtra, and the other ministers are like the duryodhan. Lets find the Krishna who will lead us through this battle to victory. For our nations pride, no sacrifice is small. Lets do this together for our next generation.let this be a movement.
Are we united? Are we willing to look beyond the caste? We can get lot of support from within as well as India wishers from abroad. Why cant we have a political voice, students party. Remember Gujarat students threw the chimanbhai government. United we can do it. Involve the people. Let it be a students movement. Peoples movement. And give a fight to the finish, or these termites will come back again.

  171. wakeup Says:

Hello Sicilian and Sahil!! Have I got the second ID wrong? I need not worry… i dont have time to check that!!

I find Sicilian more amenable Guys!! I say this because now I see him talking from all angles… good..

Continue please… In a democratic country the lessons that you YOUNGSTERS SHOULD LEARN ARE:-

    1. Everybody gets a chance to speak
    2. Everybody has a right to speak
    3. Everybody can be RIGHT!!!
    4. If you feel he is not argue with logic NOT CURSING!!
    5. Understand that problem and go to the bottom.. and the speak
    6. Understand the MACRO ASPECTS.. LIKE SAHIL AND SICILIAN HAVE… AND ACT!!

SO WHAT ARE THE MACRO ASPECTS?

SAHIL is right… Govt or any Party for that matter knows… there will be always support for QUOTA AND ALSO SUPPORT FOR ANTI-QUOTA… (That is why the PM is keeping QUIET!!!! ARJUN HAS HIM AROUND HIS FINGERS!! CLEVER!!!!)

    So what next?
Nothing!! If you think nothing can be done!!

I SAY.. WHATEVER HAPPENS TODAY…!! LET THIS BE A START OF THE END!!
    END ?
    END OF WHAT?
    END OF POLITICS!!

SINCE YOU ARE ALL THE FUTURE OF INDIA… ASSUMING THAT I AM WRITING TO PEOPLE AROUND ( /-) AGE OF 20… I TELL YOU THAT… YOU SHOULD THINK OF BUILDING A NEW PARTY… A PARTY WHICH WILL GET VOTES FROM ALL!! D0 NOT WORRY ABOUT THAT!! IF THIS PARY CAN SHOW PROFESSI0NALISM… CAN SHOW EQUAL TREATMENT TO ALL THIS CAN HAPPEN…

    HOW??? DO NOT ASK ME..
    ASK YOUR HEARTS!!!!

  172. shekhar I thibk Says:

    Hi guys,

I just want to dish out my view. I was active participant in antireservation compaign at Chandigarh and Mr. Raj Kumar was died by punjab police bullet at that time. But did it helped anyone. Only sufferer is the Raj’s family. The reservation was applied and the deservers lives were ruined. So now whatever you will do it in invetiable now also. The politicians as usually just want to divide the society for the sake of vote and ironically it is now other singh. Their should be policy to check the mental status of the politician after a certain age. Now the compaign should be directed towards a particular side.

    1) A person should be given chance whether he want to be SC/BC/OBC rather than by birth only.

    2) Try to force the government to include as much as castes into SC/BC/OBC because when everybody will be in quota class than their will not need of any quota system.

    3) Population Census should be on the basis of religion, caste and gender so that we know the exact figure of population.

    4) Women should get 50% reservation in every part of society i.e. politics, service and education.

    5) General people should raise as much children as they can so that they will come in majority and can get the large pie of the cake.

    6) Try to migrate to other countries so that yours children will not suffer.

    7) Demand a territory within India which has equality and true constitution of India of 1947.

    8) Last raise arms and try to kill as much as politicians as you can so that our country will save from armigadon.

  173. Sicilian Says:

The solution is straight and I would first recommand government to publish statistics and/or do research on several parameters of all castes. It may include marksheets from schools, colleges and employment. Hospital reports, sports, IQ reports anything at all. It maybe a bitter thing to do to unwind old scars, but data is needed for any kind of justice. If this is not possible. Then start from the most oppressed castes, provide reservations, training and anything to make her/his or her/his generations sustainable in this “globally” competative environment. Ideally it is the duty of the people to help other people, but given the lack of philanthropic teaching in hindu religion,(thats the reason BJP keeps quite, the know the achille’s heel, caste cant be taken off from hindu religion) the government has to do it. Last (it should be really first, but its not digestable) but not the least encourage intercaste (or even interclass) marriages.

  174. Sicilian Says:

Truly speaking of , there are huge difference in SC/ST’s and OBC’s in all parameters historically etc. Government is just clubbing everything together for its own benefit. In many OBC’s there several rich and dominant people for centuries. Anyway , question is not about reservation, its about the root cause about uprooting casteism from hinduism. (and I am sure it will start with people thinking something like “hmm.. nice idea, but not me”.

  175. neal Says:

looks like that some ppl have a misconseption that these obc,s r underprivileged. it makes me laugh on those ppl for it seems they have lost thier nuts. speaking of the underpriveleged in the regime of this very govt. quite a number of ppl have died due to hunger, their r ppl who have to work in the scorching sun to earn a bread for themselves. what abt them …the govmt hasnt even bothered to look for their upliftment.and they say that this reservatn thing is not for gaining political mileage!
if one has had the primary level educatn he is quite capable and equal by all means to compete with neone.and if still they feel they reservatns is must they will have to admit that they dont have it in them and they still want to be leading!

if the govt is really conserned they shud provide educatn to all in primary level and then leave the rest on merit.
and for god sake ! get above all this caste system…..so that statements like-
“free india ,equlity for all, no discrimination , democratic india ” become a truth and not just slogans!

  176. Sahil Sakhuja Says:

    Hey people,
We’ve been trying to get the engineering colleges involved in the strike and been successful at that. The students from PEC joined the doctors in PGI today for a car rally and also, from tomorrow, PEC students are plannin to go on a hunger strike and that too in the PGI grounds. Thats what solidarity is….we’re workin together here…all of us will sit and revolt together…I am also working to get other engineering and commerce colleges in Chandigarh involved and hopefully I will get a good response.
Its time now that India should get together and sort this thing out. Lets not wait for the govt to do sumthin, its our future, lets decide how we wanna live it on our own…Lets not sacrifice the whole country for the personal wnats of a few people.

  177. Sicilian Says:

Why dont all of you take out rally against abolishing caste system with equal fervour?

  178. slytanica Says:

there is a lack of desire among the SC/ST students to perform well in exams owing to the privileges they can avail in the institutions(top most)…of higher education…and this comment just doesn’t go cuz of the anger against that arjun singh but is also supported wid facts n figures…yesterday’s cbse results say it all…the pass percentage of general category students in class 12th was 80.26 while that in SC/ST it was 77.57 and 60.08…..the ppl hu got over 75% in SC category were 6.41% in ST t’was 4.31% while in GENERAL they were 19.15%….first divison was secured by 30.91% ppl in the SC category 21.11%in ST category and in GENERAL category it was 35.15% when children from the general category can score good marks n work hard towards the achievement of admissions in good colleges why cant these SCs n STs…when same amount of attention and care is given to each student in skool….then be it SC or ST then y do these ppl not come upto the same level as that of the general category….the answer is very clear coz they just take the system FOR GRANTED…they kno it very clearly that no matter what they’r gonna get admissions in prestigious colleges coz they have what we dont…. they hav a bloody SC/ST certificate..and the ppl hu are availing these meaningless resrvations actually dont desrve these coz wen dese ppl can afford to go to same schools as many of the general students can wen they can afford as many luxuries as the general students can then why reservations…..while being in skool they r ashamed of their being SC/ST but while availing these reservations they aren’t!! i simply do not understand wen same attention, same education is given to all the students then where does the question of reservations arise that too at the level wen the competition is soooo high.when they can compete at the school level they can do it at the higher level also..why should they be backed??? and since wen has education been affected by caste!!!! it should toatlly be merit based..if these reservations are continued like this the future of india is very clear all IITs n IIMs will be full of SCs AND STs and all the deserving candidates will be serving other nations against their own!!!

  179. Sicilian Says:

Why dont each and everyone of you make a pledge of marrying someone from other caste having at least same qualification as yours?

  180. slytanica Says:

and ya this is for that  OM  he’s not only SC but MC BC aswell!!!

  181. Hitesh Vig Says:

    Hey Scillian,

Why do you feel so discriminated.

    Why you feel dominated.

I say that every body is equal.

    Everybody means everybody, no exceptions.

Baki aaj aadmi kya karm kar raha hai, yeh sab karma chakr par nirbhar hai.

Aur mere hisaab se sab log barabar hain.

Na jane kis roop mein narayan mil jayein.

  182. tanya Says:

sicilian….i hv no problem marryin a guy from anodr caste…..for that matter my best friend belongs to a backward class…
no1 has a personal grudge against ne1 of dem…..but d fact is that d genaral quota ppl are sufferin cuz of them….
i am givin d medical entrances this year..i got a score 250 in an exam n cudnt get thru, but an sc guy who got a score 20 has been selected….this is where we have a problem…!!
itss d govt dat is dividin us…..i got 2 noe dat my frend was an sc only after this quota thing started…

  183. Hitesh Vig- Revolt Says:

Dear only politician who supported us is Navjot singh Sidhu.

I say we should contact sidhu and make a new party.

This is the only way to get the other parties down.

See a huge parliament and only person with good state of mind

  184. Hitesh Vig- Revolt Says:

There should be a Blast, to make deaf hear. These were the wordings of Bhagat singh.

And this is what we should do.

Any one who can make a bomb.

    We will make deaf hear.

And please be at India gate , Delhi on 28th May.

  185. Shwetz Says:

    ^^ i will be there… India Gate… timings pls :P

  186. SUDEEP Says:

i did my hig schoolin in delhi i m in mangalore karnataka Shwetz
i don kno y is this happenin wew should get violent those numb politicians won listen to us unless we protest violently mother fucking arjun sing got jact on CNN IBN DEVILS ADVOVCATE WHERE KARAN THAPAR PUT THE FACTS AND ARJUN SING COULD NT REPLY

U KNO EVEN JAWAHARLAL NEHARU AND RAJIV GANDHI WERE AGAINST RESERVATION THEY VE QUOTED THAT SOMEWERE BUT IT WAS SHOWN ON THE ABOVE MENTIONED PROGRAM

  187. Sicilian Says:

The best solution then is divide the country on basis of % of population. In that way everyone can have as many number of seats as they want. And (tanya) dont tell me politicians are dividing us, they are just taking advantage of divisions and having friend and marrying is a very different thing altogether. If you really see it properly, only girls/boys who dont get married in nubile age/divorced/widowed/handicapped/diseased are considered marrigable to lower castes. Start analysing the matrimonials and that is another truth of this “great india”.

  188. Sicilian Says:

And strangely, I have also studied college ,and I have never seen upper caste getting admission at 200 and lower caste at 20. It might be 180/170 or even 100, but not 20! and even if thats the case, then thats not an average case. When one takes decision one dosnt look at deviations but looks at average.

  189. Sicilian Says:

I am sure even when all the lower castes start beating you in everything, even then you people will find out a way to make yourself on top. Something like “the education system is baised towards the lower castes lets change the pattern so that we can score the best”. Anyway, Good Luck.

  190. Shwetz Says:

@sicillian did u read m main post???

and wat tanya wrote about marx is absolutely true… u can ask this in colleges

I am sure even when all the lower castes start beating you in everything, even then you people will find out a way to make yourself on top.

I don’t say that I am a topper. But i am on top of spirits. I can’t get into 90’s. But when it comes to film direction, writting stories and lyrics in just the age of 22 I have started earning a little because of my creativity.
In a year i am going to have my first novel released.
    What the marks will do.
But the thing is the will to study. When you are getting seats for granted why will u study.

Mere bhai jab roti ka niwala dalne wala koi mil jayega to haathkon chalata hai.

Baisakhion ke sahare aage badne se acha hai apni mehnat se aage badna.

It’s just last time that I want advise u.

Otherwise I will stop wasting my time.

And i am a kshatriya, I always fulfill my promises. Not like you who said that I am leaving this blog and is still there.

  195. nitin Says:

Sicilian IS A LOOSER. lets stop reading what his mindless sh..
coming back to original topic, this government is going ahead with reservations. i see no way we can force this governemt to stop playing caste politics. read my earlier post, the only way out is to make sure people know who has got the merit to be a doctor or whatever and who has not. ST/SC/OBC can have unjust benifits with a stamp of shame tagged on them for rest of their life.

I think most of the contributors to this blog are not open to discussion and rather use this a antireservation forum, people take a free hand in bashing/abusing the lower castes…

yesterday I came a across a small group of people (from my institute) holding antireservation demonstrations and giving interviews to TV channel etc…I noticed that the same bunch of people proclaim them as a “Hindus” and often talk like fanatics…this is not a stray coincidence, connections are deeper and as always it is often impossible to have any sensible discussion with these people…

couple of months ago a friend lost his son due to apparent negligence of doctor, not from any reserved category, and my most dear foes will agree that this happens quite often all over the country and doctors are mostly from upper castes, so incompetency is not at stake but very foundation of our upbringing as upper castes have been stirred and shaken

some are acting considerate, saying, if something really needs to be done it should start at a much lower level, I wonder since when, college, secondary, primary education…I would bet my life (not much of an worth anyway) if the parents won’t stage severe protests if children of backward communities are given preference over their wards, they can’t compete with rich parents doling out huge fees but will bare their fangs against SC/ST/OBCs…

some in this blog mentions of shame, a reserved category person on graduating will be tainted in shame, I think for ages carrying our excreta and getting our wrath, this shame won’t add much to their already overwhelming burden of shame…

I have managed to group a good number of students and we are organising agitations from next two days in cities like Pune, Mumbai, etc.

What the difference in our protests is that as I have said that we can bring an revolt this what I have done.

I can not say whether we will get the media coverage what we want but our first demand is President’s Rule. A total no to these dumb politicians.

Abhi bhi brothers and sisters let get more of the students in contact so that our voice becomes the voice of masses.

We will be having our first meeting tommorow. Here we will discuss what are the major issues in lieu to reservation which our manifesto will arise. But it is sure that we are gainst any democracy till the constitution is amended as per the different intellectual brains of India, not by these dumb politicians.

He plays Piano on SAT and Sunday.. and he is supposed to be a lover of children and gives a lot of advice to children and students.. But an Indian President is only a figure.. he is powerless… And what about PM? he knows it too.. but others will not let him do what he may want secretly.. and in Politics they have to carry everyone along.. and since thay have to show that they are carrying everyone along.. they will say many things.. but will not mean anything.. you and I cannot do anything.. can we? Think… what you and I can do.. who are these ‘you and I” and how faithful will they be to each other? for how long? what is the stamina of these people? THINK… think how and what next..

    Dear All,

    Congrats India !!!!!!!!!

In one of the Oldest civilisation called Hindu, for the first time the requirement of the vast majority of people or India has been vocal and given their basic need a political shape / voice, that too with all the prevailing institutional legality which they had / have given themselves for their welfare in 1947. Bravo !!!

Hats off to the Son’s & Daughters of the respected OBC, SC & ST clan for giving yourself the political pronouncement with your assertiveness.

Mind well its your assertiveness which has got this pronouncement and in no case it has been given to you by anybody-on the contrary since these ravan’s as usual & expected in the name of bogey & deft defination (to suit their selfish interest ) of all the positive words of merit , equality are trying hard to stymie its passage by the supports of their community members and their illgotten wealth from you for all these years.

Though still reservation has not been passed in parliament and technically its passage would only be the begining of first step taken, ie “legal framing of an intention of an idea known as reservation ” and then the mammoth exercise of implememting it, so that maximum of the deprived mass gets the benefit, or get their due share, which till date is been kept & been denied by the leacherous , rotten and to say least the black blooded Tilak , Tarazu aur Talwar demons. Anyhow the real fact of these rotten ravan’s son’s / daughter’s and their nefarcious mentality I shall as always expose to all……….. but in other mails.

Last & Definately not the Least :

The Height of the son’s & daughter’s of the black blooded & rotten womb is that in the history of the modern world, the home of the largest populated democracy we find that a microscopic minority is hell bent to stop the “legally / constitutionally democratically attained bill meant for the social cause of whole majority of people ie India ” unnamiously passed thru the world recognised & highly respected august house / parliament is by unconstitutionally, by anti social ways and in inhuman behaviour (by making mockery the dignity of labour) is been stoped to see the light of the day so that the whole majority lives in the darkness of their shadowy deeds.

    Once Again Congrats India!!!!!

Best Wishes & Love to all.

  221. om Says:

    Dear All,

    What is Reservation & Why:

Reservation is a platform / level playing field provided to the vast majority of our society which happens to costitutes 80% of our population. This majority have been denied education since time immemorial - it is for them to be provided the oppurtunity so that they can too derive the benefits of the human progress and achieve the wants and needs of them in society. If this vast majority devlopes … then only the society of ours / Nation shall progress.

If the deft defination / impression of the word “merit” is as been made out by this so called upper caste community in the present anti reservation stand were in reality the truth then the most devloped state should have been Bihar from where more no of students pass Engg, Medical, UPSC etc and the mineral, manpower, fertile land, river and not the least history rich state, should be enjoying the prosperity & peace (read its subject)
…. but that is not the case its Gujarat which is enjoying the progress but compared to Bihar hardly gujarati’s study. Or for that matter any north eastern states in India are rich with all resources.

But the same person progress , achieve for themselves as well as for their society when they are in other states cutting across the caste system. This is purely due to the prevailing enviorment in these states which helps in making out the best from the individual.

This is what the reservation is meant for -
giving the under priviledged the oppurtunity so that they too can make thier own enviornment conducive like any other souls and can progress themselves.

For really India to progress its necessary to have reservation presently (already it has been delayed for too long). Though for any such issues there will be a very negligible section who may have to take negligible amount of pain (but definately its not the case as is been cryed and rallied for on streets and TV’s)
then its always the case in society for that matter. What India (read Indian’s too) are striding globallly is because of nearly 50 years of reservation from the rest of the world and were made competent so that they can face globally and then why shy away when the same is required to be done domestically.

Best Wishes & Love to all.
    Jai Reservation!!!!!

    Regards.
    Om.

  222. Udit Says:

    @ Om

Yaar please justify your reservations in Case of Post Graduations, I mean once a person has done his/her Graduation he is matured enough and has come to a certain level that he/she can proceed on his own with others.
Post Graduations are one thing, even for Research works, PHD’s there is reservation, that means even after Post Graduation is done, Reservations Comes into Picture… well I dont see any point in that. It all means that Someone who was uneducated and under priviledged will remain under priviledged and uneducated no matter how much of higher studies they have done.

Please understand what I mean to say, I am not at all against reservations, but the way they are done is to be very specific good for nothing.

Why is it that even after 60 years of independence we are an under priviledged society..?? we had 1200 obc’s at the time of independence now we have 3200 obc’s.. are we going fwd or back..?? The OBC’s who were poor are still 95% poor and those were well off have taken all the benefits. So that means 22% resevations have effected just 5% poor OBC’s.

Now let me tell you according to the UGC, around 20-30% of the OBC seats go waste in the colleges, because there not enough OBC candidates, Now with 22% we are not able to fill seats, with 27% we believe we will be..?? This means if the

Primary education, Higher Secondary education is implemented the way they are we just need probably 16% of reservation because rest of the seats go waste… no one can apply there.

So what Govt. is doing is good for nothing, seats will still go waste if the basic structure of education and society is not strengthen at the Village and small distt. level. Govt says nothing on this.

Reservations should be there for those who need them the most, and must be in check… It should be such that the our Society grows so much that we should never need reservation again but with current reservation and education policy this is not the near proximity.

    Regards,

  223. ANTI OM Says:

  227. ashwin Says:

    HINDUISM IS GOONDAISM

Now let us see what is history of meritorious Hinduism.
Prior to Buddha and Mahavira, in vedic times our Aryan upper caste ppl used to conduct yagya which involved lighting a fire & doing stuti (praise) of various gods like agni.
Afterwards they used to do sacrifice ( give BALI) of animals such as horse, goat and COW .
The meat of sacrificed animals was distributed as prasad.
In other words cow slaughter was considered good & auspicious by so called upper caste meritorious , educated, aryan religious people.
In some yagya MANAV BALI was also practiced . Dont know what they did with the meat. This practice exists even today in tantric witchcraft clandestinely.

So we can say that , that time was like African tribal system of cannibalism practiced by our so called forward upper caste Aryans.

Buddha & Mahavira strongly objected to BALI and professed non violence to all life forms.
In fact , for the very first time Buddha said —

    Stop cow slaughter
Cow give us milk , butter and ghee
Cow is a very gentle animal
Cow is like a mother , Gau Mata

Buddha influenced kings of those times to completely eradicate cow slaughter. Buddha is the first Gau rakshak.

Buddha was considered as a guru of all gods and brahma at that time.
His teaching are known as Dharma Sutra (tipitak) which were very much detailed on what is right & wrong & how to meditate & attain moksha.
Buddha never hated low caste. He said he wanted progress of all castes.
His chief deciples were brahmin, kshatria, vaishya & ALSO SHUDRA.
Many shudras became arihant ( the highest title)

Chandragupta Maurya & his gradson king Ashoka were from shudra (surprising)
So India was ruled by shudras in buddhist period.
Alexander from Greece (europe) invaded india & defeated upper caste king Porus in north west.
IT WAS CHANDRAGUPTA MAURYA A SHUDRA KING WHO DEFEATED ALEXANDER FROM EUROPE.
Chandragupta Maurya fought Alexander and made him & his army to leave india who died in Iran from a wound he received in india.
So shudras were capable of defeating europians.
His grandson Ashoka (also shudra) expanded the indian empire from Afghanistan to Burma. India never was so large in areal extent in the entire history till date. Also at that time india was the richest ( thats why Alexander came). Indians were trading all over the world.
We can say that India was like present day america at that time of shudra rulers. Ashoka was instrumental in spread of Buddhism to far eastern countries.
FAR EAST COUNTRIES ADOPTED BUDDHISM , TODAY THEY ARE RICH, ADVANCED AND PROGRESSIVE.
Look in & around your house. Observe how many things are from Japan, Korea, China, Thailand , Taiwan Buddhist countries. These are gifts from Buddha. That way even Delhi metro is a gift from Buddha as it is aided by Japan & built by Korean expertise.

All this progress happened because Buddha & Mahavira injected a new moral sense into indian social system which opposed the age old brahmins system of considering brahmin as a god for the purpose of making him rich in the process. We can say that india was shining in golden age of Buddhism.

Of course the Aryan upper caste were worried for the fear of being marginalized like today.
And they conspired. After 500 years of buddha, Patanjali(a brahmin) became Maha purohit (chief priest) of King Pushya mitra shung(a Brahmin king). Patanjali (father of hindu yoga) plagiarized / stole the intellectual knowledge of buddhism and created his own Patanjal Yog Sutra. It is 75% buddhist.

Pushya mitra shung was commander in chief of last Mauryan king Brhadrata. Pushya mitra Shung(Brahmin) killed Brhadrata while he was inspecting guard of honor & took over the throne (185 BC). Pushya mitra Shung(Brahmin) hated Buddhists so much that he slaughtered them en masse. He set a prize of 100 gold coins on every dead Buddhist monk’s head. He destroyed 84000 buddhist stupas built by Ashoka. This is the true spirit of Brahmins. They are given important positions thru merit. Later on they act like devils. Beware.

After that many other hindu texts were written promoting superstition. After that the hindu kings started ignoring buddhism. Brahmins on one side and buddhist/ Jains on other side were opposed to each other intellectually.

Brahmins got the chiefs of buddhists & jains killed later on. That was the time Adi Shankara existed. There was so much massacre of Buddhists & Jains that their bodies were taken away in many carts. Buddhists & Jains practiced ahinsa (non violence) , so they were eliminated.
Brahmins collected all the manuscripts and teachings of buddhists & jains and it was burnt in fire.
While hindus today consider muslim rule of moguls as barbaric, bloody & oppressive , they ignore the fact about what they did to Buddhists & Jains.
Original Buddhist teachings were completely eliminated from india and it is simply not available anywhere even today. Later on Jains adopted a trick , they took hindu literature , eliminated hindu teachings and inserted Jain teachings and called it Jain literature. Due to this trick hindus accepted Jainism as part of Hinduism as it exits today.

Between 0 AD to 500 AD most of the hindu literature like sankhya, upanishad, vedanta was written. It is suspected that these were nothing but condensed teachings of buddha which conspiring brahmins changed it to suite their purpose. And since Buddhist knowledge was eliminated , common man had no choice to compare it. They even adopted Buddhist practices such as vegetarianism, respecting cow as mother, shaving the head etc. because these were accepted already by masses.

Another brahmin , Vatsayana wrote Kama Sutra praising sex which is in opposition to Buddha. According to Buddha brahmacharya (celibacy/ control on sexual behavior) was the very first step towards good morality and a door to higher learning. Kama sutra is one of the most popular book at the global scale, today.

UPPER CASTE ARYAN HINDU KINGS WERE FIGHTING AMONG THEMSELVES THAT IS WHAT MADE INDIA WEAK( DIVIDED WE FALL).

The result of upper caste aryan rule after buddhism was worship of brahmins and idols, unlimited superstitions and spread of fear of mantra, tantra by brahmins, untouchability, sati, making widows life miserable, in benaras poor widows were even used as as prostitutes.
What is the proof— Go to Khajuraho temple in MP. Go to Konark sun temple in orissa near puri. The xxx postures of idols in temple represent deterioration of hindu morality. Aaj Tak TV channel showed shameful sexual acts of pandas in swaminarayan temple.
Brahmins were exempted from any sin. In other words Brahmin cannot sin, so even if he rapes or kills or does anything he commits no sin. The present day statistics will tell you that worst criminals are from upper caste.

THIS IS THE MEANING OF DARK AGE – HINDU RULE — by Upper Caste

The hindu dark age made Indians morally, intellectually weak since it was based on andh vishwas, idol worship & upper caste Aryans were busy reaping a windfall of wealth by exploiting working class. The temples were full of gold – it was the poor mans sweat & blood. At the same times a new religion islam spread. Its powerful invaders pounced upon morally weak Indians. When Mohammed bin Kasim attacked sindh, its Brahmin king was busy in a tantric yagya to kill the enemy. The yagya did nothing & the king lost his head & his kingdom. The same superstitious attitude prevailed all over India who believed that tantra mantra can do everything. Slowly islam spread. Many low caste & backward people adopted it as it offered equal social status. So one of the reason of conversion was tyranny of upper caste Hinduism. Even Kashmir problem was created in this period , its king was a Buddhist who wanted to convert to Hinduism. But the kashmiri pundits objected , the king became angry & he converted to Islam and made his kashmiri people to convert too.

Later on British came. There was mutiny of 1857 which failed because many rulers like Scindhias (Brahmins) of Gwalior helped british. Jhansi ki Rani Laxmibai fought british. She left Jhansi on horseback with her adopted infant son tied to her back. Schindias of gwalior deceived her. They closed the gates of their fort. Laxmibai fought bravely but was cut down to pieces finally being left alone. Today same schindias descendents are enjoying power. Why? They are meritorious upper caste hindu Brahmins. It is said that hindu mahasabha was favoring british. The same has converted to Jansangh & its other hindu offshoots(VHP RSS BJP). Their aim is to see that upper caste Aryan hindus (preferably Brahmin) always remain in power along with the control on country’s wealth & resources.

Killings of indo-pak partition were due to rigidity & unsociability practiced by upper caste Aryans on muslims & low caste people. Conversion happened due to this only, as it is stated earlier. Another Brahmin , Nehru messed up so much that Kashmir was torn into three pieces like a cat is caught between teeth of many dogs. Kashmir problem is a creation of upper caste, meritorious, educated , aryan , religious HINDUS. Gandhi was truly righteous but he made one mistake. He made a Brahmin (Nehru) a PM instead of Jinnah because Nehru was adamant. And who was Nehru , a son of a very rich man whose garments used to be washed in Paris. A person who used to go to Europe for holidaying. If Jinnah had become PM ,at least India would have remained united. Therefore bloodshed in time of partition is a creation of selfish upper caste, meritorious, educated , aryan , religious HINDUS. Nehru simply started a dynastic rule. Nehru was opposed to reservations & Ambedkar. He even said – “We have ensured that Brahmin should rule this country forever”. He & his daughter Indira distributed FREE land to Brahmins for public schools which are meant for education of elite upper caste today.

In Indo Pak war of 1971 the defense minister was babu Jagjivan Ram, a dalit. And the army mostly (88%) comprises of SC/ST/OBC & muslims. Is it not an achievement by low castes.
Policies of Indira Gandhi could have created another partition in 84. She made Brahmins & Upper castes mostly as chief ministers such as Kamla pati Tripathi. There was very little industrial progress in her time. Indira Gandhi(Brahmin) & later her son Rajiv started borrowing huge international aid for funding govt. schemes. By earlier 90’s , the economy became very poor & on the verge of collapse due to the meritorious , upper caste , Brahmins rule. India was on the verge of debt trap( i.e. borrowing for the sake of paying). It was Dr.Manmohan Singh ( a non Brahmin ) who created an about turn in economy which is an tremendous achievement of a non hindu.

BJP won on the issue of nationalism. It’s a pro hindu party. They sowed the seeds of another partition & hindu muslim separation by demolishing Babri mosque. Their govt in Gujrat killed 2000 – 3000 people on false pretext. Their skeletons are still being found. BJP started selling assets of country in the name of sick companies divestment. Instead they hurriedly sold off best & highly profitable companies such as VSNL at low price. These companies will be eventually be bought by multinationals. This is meritorious , upper caste hindu rule.

    DALIT COUNTRY’S PROGRESS?
Pakistan is a consequence of this rigid hindu exploitative attitude only. Considering that earlier only SC/ST/OBC people became muslims , Pakistan maybe considered as a country of converted dalits & backwards. They have 6% reservation for scheduled caste. Today Pakistan is progressive. There may be issues of disagreements between India & Pak , but their origins lie in vote bank politics/ power on both sides. The politicians today are very keen on developing good understanding between two because peace means progress. Today Pakis have satellite launching capability, nuclear arms , what not. Are not these dalit achievements ? Whereas in India we have people who eat rats for survival in bihar. Because thousands of crores of money released by govt. for welfare of SC/ST etc. ends up in wrong hands thru corruption by upper caste hindu politicians & bureaucrats for the purpose of filling pockets of parties & also theirs. And may be going out to swiss a/c for funding elections. How it happens is very organized, schemes are created, run and completed on paper only. False receipts are generated. Ask the govt & they will show statistics having details of grand achievements in welfare. Earlier PM Rajiv Gandhi himself admitted that only 10% money reaches the needy & poor. And the poor remains poor. The ruling upper class has maintained a vulture like attitude as always. If there is a disaster (earthquake, displacement by big dams, typhoons, tsunami , disease, poison gas tragedy etc.) , the upper caste politicians & bureaucrats become very happy & get themselves involved in it. Why? the aid will be cornered to fill their pockets thru corruption / false receipts. The most visible sign of such corruption is very poor condition of roads in the interiors of India considering that huge funds are available to state govts. So much that they are not even able to spend them. Some people say that SC/ST people are also in power & bureaucracy. But they don’t know that such people are always given unimportant positions, ignored & kept in postings of trivial matters.

REPRESSION OF LOW CASTES GOES ON
In rural areas couples are killed by village authorities (panchayats) just for love & marriage between low & high caste.
In Haryana 5 dalits were killed just because they were transporting naturally died cows 5 years back.
The low caste people attending colleges are deliberately given low grades/marks by including their failure grades in averaging since their identities are known.. Example : a student gets A grade in 3rd attempt so gets fail(0) fail(0) A grade(100) => (0 0 100)/3 = 33% marks only while possessing A grade knowledge (IITs etc). Similarly in PG entrance in AIIMS , upper caste students get admission with low marks compared to low caste students due to monopoly & politics. Low castes are hardly given entrance to MD, only diploma is given. Gold medals in nearly all the medical colleges are politically influenced & given by college management to politically linked students.

    MERIT OF UPPER CASTE
R.K.Sharma (Brahmin) IG , haryana(police chief) killed Shivani bhatnager by his own hands by telephone wire, & is in jail.
R.Sharma(Brahmin) police chief(Maharastra) shifted old printing blocks as scrap & ink also to print fake currency & stamp papers as good as original. Total worth more than 3000 CRORE.
One Brahmin Police IG, Orissa , sexually abused a poor tribal girl & shown on TV also using hidden camera in 2005.
One Sharma , a serial killer , killed many girls & had sex with their dead bodies later ( reported on TV on 28 may 06)
Manu Sharma (grand son of Shanker dayal Sharma ) killed Jessica Lal in a pub just for a drink.
Dr. Saptarishi Dey in Calcutta sexually exploited his patients in the name of rehabilitation.25 May 06.
Amarmani tripathi ex,minister UP, conspired to kill Madhumita , ex lover.

EARLIER SANSKRIT WAS A MONOPOLIZING MEDIUM
Manu smiriti was also written in the hindu dark age after Buddhism which says that if a shudra listens to even a single word of Vedas , molten lead should be poured into his ears. In other words education was made a monopoly of aryan upper caste which exists even today in the form of public schools. In those times Sanskrit was used as a medium to monopolize education because it was a difficult language. Its interpretation was given only by Brahmins so whatever they said u have to believe it. For example every translation of Gita in Hindi is different.

TODAY ENGLISH IS THE MONOPOLIZING MEDIUM
Today English is used for monopolizing education. All higher education is in English. Most low caste & backward people study in government school which teach in hindi/local language in the name of matra bhasha (Mother tongue). In UP even BSc is taught in hindi. When such students take exams of engineering , medical , IIM etc. they r always at the bottom. Mother tongue should be respected & taught at small scale. But not in this manner of making poor SC/ST/OBC people intellectually handicap. The public schools (actually private) interview the students and their parents. Parents have to fill a form which requires them to reveal their economic & social status, links with politicians & bureaucrats. In other words schools want to know their caste for the purpose of filtering them out. This is Upper Caste Aryan Hindu Apartheid rule even today in the form of so called merit. We deplore it. This is Goondaism.

The Ashok Chakra in Indian flag is Buddhist sign it represents a great meritorious rule by a shudra king Ashoka which established after defeating europians (Alexander) which spanned from Afghanistan to Burma.

YES LOW CASTE WERE TRULY MERITORIUS WE ARE PROUD OF IT.

Come out from the darkness of Hindu exploitation who will dump u when u r in need.

    NAMO BUDDHAYE

    Buddham Sharnam Gacchami
    Dhammam Sharnam Gacchami
    Sangham Sharnam Gacchami

    Extracts from the Manusmriti

The great sages approached Manu, who was seated with a collected mind, and, having duly worshipped him, spoke as follows:
Divine one, to declare to us precisely and in due order the sacred laws of each of the [four] castes [varnas] and of the intermediate ones.

For the sake of the prosperity of the worlds he [Brahma] caused the Brahmin, the Kshatriya, the Vaisya and the Shudra to proceed forth from his mouth, his arms, his thighs and his feet. But in order to protect this universe, He, the most resplendent one[Brahma], assigned separate [duties and] occupations to those who sprang from his mouth, arms, thighs and feet.
To Brahmins he assigned teaching and studying [the Veda], sacrificing for their own benefit and for others, giving and accepting [of alms].
The Kshatriya he commanded to protect the people, to bestow gifts, to offer sacrifices, to study [the Veda], and to abstain from attaching himself to sensual pleasures.
The Vaisya to tend cattle, to bestow gifts, to offer sacrifices, to study [the Veda], to trade, to lend money, and to cultivate land.
One occupation only the lord prescribed to the Shudra, to serve meekly even these [other] three castes.
The Brahmin, Kshatriya and the Vaishya castes are the twice-born ones, but the fourth, the Shudra, has one birth only.
On account of his preeminence, on account of the superiority of his origin, on account of his observance of restrictive rules and on account of his particular sanctification, the Brahmin is the lord of [all] castes.
Let the three twice-born castes, discharging their [prescribed] duties, study [the Veda], but among them the Brahmin [alone] shall teach it, not the other two; that is an established rule.
As the Brahmin sprang from [Brahman’s] mouth, as he was the first-born, and as he possesses the Veda, he is by right the lord of this whole creation. A Brahmin, coming into existence, is born the highest on earth, the lord of all created beings, for the protection of the treasury of the law. Whatever exists in the world is the property of the Brahmin. On account of the excellence of his origin the Brahmin is, indeed, entitled to all.
Whatever law has been ordained for any [person] by Manu, that has been fully declared in the Veda, for that [sage was] omniscient.
Knowledge is the austerity of the Brahmin, protecting is the austerity of the Kshatriya, his daily business is the austerity of the Vaisya, and service [of the ‘upper’ castes] the austerity of a Shudra.
Let [the first part of] a Brahmin’s name [denote something] auspicious, a Kshatriya’s be connected with power, and a Vaisya’s with wealth, but a Shudra’s [express something] contemptible. [The second part of] a Brahmin’s [name] shall be [a word] implying happiness, of a Kshatriya’s [a word] implying protection, of a Vaisya’s [a term] expressive of thriving, and of a Shudra’s [an expression] denoting service.
Kshatriyas prosper not without Brahmins [and] Brahmins prosper not without Kshatriyas. Brahmins and Kshatriyas, being closely united, prosper in this [world] and in the next. But to serve Brahmins [who are] learned in the Vedas, householders and famous [for virtue] is the highest duty of a Shudra, which leads to beatitude. [A Shudra who is] pure, the servant of his betters, gentle in speech and free from pride and always seeks refuge with Brahmins, attains [in his next life] a higher caste.
The whole world is kept in order by punishment . [So] let him [the king] act with justice in his own domains, chastise his enemies, behave without duplicity towards his friends, and be lenient towards the Brahmins. The king has been created [to be] the protector of the castes and orders, who, all according to their rank, discharge their several duties. Let the king, after rising early in the morning, worship the Brahmins who are well-versed in the three-fold sacred science and learned and follow their advice . Though dying [with want] a king must not levy a tax on Srotriyas (priests) and no Srotriya residing in his kingdom must perish from hunger.
A king, desirous of investigating law cases, must enter his court of justice, preserving a dignified demeanor, together with Brahmins and with experienced councilors . A Brahmin who subsists only by the name of his caste or one who merely calls himself a Brahmin may, at the king’s pleasure, interpret the law to him, but never a Shudra. The kingdom of that monarch who looks on while a Shudra settles the law will sink [low] like a cow in a morass. That kingdom where Shudras are very numerous, which is infested by atheists and destitute of twice-born (’upper’ caste) [inhabitants], soon entirely perishes, afflicted by famine and disease.
[The king] should carefully compel Vaisyas and Shudras to perform the work [prescribed] for them; for if these two [castes] swerved from their duties, they would throw this [whole] world into confusion.
A Kshatriya, having defamed a Brahmin, shall be fined one hundred [panas]; a Vaisya one hundred and fifty or two hundred; a Shudra shall suffer corporal punishment.
A once-born man (Shudra) who insults a twice-born (’upper’ caste) man with gross invective, shall have his tongue cut out, for he is of low origin. If he mentions the names and castes of the [’twice-born’] with contempt, an iron nail, ten fingers long, shall be thrust red-hot into his mouth. If he [a Shudra] arrogantly teaches Brahmins their duty, the king shall cause hot oil to be poured into his mouth and into his ears.
A low-caste man who tries to place himself on the same seat with a man of high caste shall be branded on his hip and be banished, or [the king] shall cause his buttock to be gashed. (Any form of punishment for this ‘crime’).
If out of arrogance he [a Shudra] spits [on a superior] the king shall cause both his lips to be cut off.
If he [a Shudra] lays hold of the hair [of a superior] let the [king] unhesitatingly cut off his hands.
He who strikes [a Brahmin] even with a blade of grass . shall appease him by a prostration. But he who, intending to hurt a Brahmin, threatens [him with a stick and the like] shall remain in hell for a hundred years; he who [actually] strikes him [shall remain in hell] for a thousand years.
A Chandala (the ‘lowest’ caste), a village pig, a cock, a dog, a menstruating women and a eunuch must not look at the Brahmins when they eat.
Let him [a Brahmin] not dwell in a country where the rulers are Shudras . nor in one swarming with men of the lowest caste . Let him not give advice to a Shudra . for he who explains the sacred law [to a Shudra] or dictates him to a penance will sink together with that [man] into the hell [called] Asamvrita. Let him not recite [the Vedas] indistinctly, nor in the presence of Shudras .
When he [a Brahmin] has touched a Chandala, a menstruating woman, an outcast, a woman in childbed, a corpse or one who has touched [a corpse], he becomes pure by bathing . Let him not allow a dead Brahmin to be carried out by a Shudra while men of the same caste are at hand, for that burnt offering which is defiled by a Shudra’s touch is detrimental to [the deceased’s passage to] heaven.
A Brahmin who unintentionally approaches a woman of the Chandala or of [any other] very low caste, who eats [the food of such persons] and accepts [gifts from them] becomes an outcast, but [if he does it] intentionally he becomes their equal.
The dwellings of Chandalas and Svapakas [people of very ‘low’ caste] shall be outside the village and their wealth [shall be] dogs and donkeys. Their dress [shall be] the garments of the dead, [they shall eat] their food from broken dishes, black iron [shall be] their ornaments, and they must always wander from place to place . At night they shall not walk about in villages and in towns. By day they may go about for the purpose of their work, distinguished by marks at the king’s command, and they shall carry out the corpses [of persons] who have no relatives-that is a settled rule.
A man of low caste, who, through covetousness, lives by the occupations of a higher one, the king shall deprive of his property and banish. It is better to [discharge] one’s own [appointed caste] duty incompletely than to perform completely that of another; for he who lives according to the law of another [caste] is instantly excluded from his own . Let a [Shudra] serve Brahmins, either for the sake of heaven or with a view to both [this life and the next], for he who is called the servant of a Brahmin thereby gains all his ends. The service of Brahmins alone is declared [to be] an excellent occupation for a Shudra, for whatever else besides this he may perform will bear him no fruit.
No collection of wealth must be made a Shudra, even though he be able [to do it], for a Shudra who has acquired wealth gives pain to Brahmins.
He who has associated with outcasts, he who has approached the wives of other men and he who has stolen the property of a Brahmin becomes [after death] a brahmarakshas [fierce devil].
It is declared that a Shudra woman alone [can be] the wife of a Shudra, she and one of his own caste [the wives] of a Vaishya, those two and one of his own caste [the wives] of a Kshatriya, those three and one of his own caste [the wives] of a Brahmin . Twice-born (’upper’ caste) men, who, in their folly, wed wives of the low [Shudra] caste soon degrade their families and their children to the state of Shudras. According to Atri and to [Gautama] the son of Uthaya, he who weds a Shudra woman becomes an outcast . A Brahmin who takes a Shudra wife to his bed will [after death] sink into hell; if he begets a child by her he will lose the rank of a Brahmin.
A [man of ] low [caste] who makes love to a maiden [of] the highest [caste] shall suffer corporal punishment.
The property of a Brahmin must never be taken by the king, that is a settled rule; but [the property of men] of other castes the king may take on failure of all [heirs].
Let the king corporally punish all those [persons] who either gamble and bet or afford [an opportunity for it], likewise Shudras who assume the distinctive marks of twice-born [men].
Never slay a Brahmin, though he [may] have committed all [possible] crimes . No greater crime is known on earth than slaying a Brahmin. A king, therefore, must not even conceive in his mind the thought of killing a Brahmin.
A Brahmin, be he ignorant or learned, is a great divinity, just as the fire, whether carried forth [for the performance of a sacrifice] or not carried forth, is a great divinity. Thus, though Brahmins employ themselves in all [sorts of] mean occupations they must be honoured in every way, for [each of] them is a very great deity.
[The king] should order a Vaisya to trade, to lend money, to cultivate the land or to tend cattle, and a Shudra to serve the twice-born castes . A Brahmin who, because he is powerful, out of greed makes initiated [men of the] twice-born [castes] against their will to do the work of slaves, shall be fined by the king six hundred [panas]. But a Shudra, whether bought or not bought, he may compel to do servile work, for he was created by the Self-Existent (swayambhu) to be the slave of a Brahmin. A Shudra, though emancipated by his master, is not released from servitude; since that is innate in him, who can set him free?
A Brahmin may confidently seize the goods of [his] Shudra [slave], for, as that [slave] can have no property, his master may take his possessions . That sinful man, who, through covetousness, seizes the property of the gods or the property of Brahmins feeds in another world on the leavings of vultures. The Brahmin is declared [to be] the creator [of the world], the punisher, the teacher [and hence] a benefactor [of all created beings], to him let no man say anything unpropitious nor use any harsh worlds.

Well, that was a nice piece of diatribe, Ashwin. You must have gone through all this literature. However, I feel that whatever has been stated in the comments occured in the past. But, it has strong bearing on the present as can be seen in the present social structure where so called upper-caste are opposing reservations and so called backward-castes are favouring it. I think it says a lot about the composition of society in terms of access to opportunities or rather lack of it.

It is very difficult to bring everybody on equal footing in one clean sweep by removing the entrenched skewness in the system. It is a fact that in India people favout their own kith and kins which is largely based on caste and religious affiliations. What I am unable to get is how reservation should be seen as antidote for the social inequalities due to past actions. Off-course, it is a fact that reservation is a very good short-cut to change life of people in one generation in India where quite a lot of jobs and education is govt. controlled barring public schools which naturally give leg-up to the section of society who has access to it.

And lastly, it may not be a good idea to dissect society in terms of Sharma(s) and Shudra(s) whatever it entails.

Please think about it ….. it is not good for us.

  238. masurekar Says:

Hey champs ! y r u so all worried about the quota system for the resrved categories? It always existed and was bound to grow. u shud be really dumb not to realize this! Anyways, what needs to be done is that this quota system needs to be first implemented in other areas before it comes to education. Some of the areas I prescribe are –

    (1) In all public toilets, those who belong to SC/ST will get priority access (since they dont have toilets in their own homes).
    (2) SC/ST will be allowed to spit and litter more on the streets than those from the forward castes
    (3) In all national sports teams, there will be 4 SC/ST players out of the 11.
    (4) In cricket, if the SC/ST player gets out, he will be given a second chance.

Pls prescribe a few more areas where SC/ST worms need to be given priority.

As for all you forward castes, just dont rant in front of your PC’s or fart in toilets, either get out of this country or marry a dumb SC. Atleast ur children will live a king’s life in future!

First, I feel people should see the issues of SC/ST’s different then OBC’s . Infact the whole Indian community target the brahmins, but I feel the “other” upper castes including the OBCs are responsible more for the plights of SC/ST’s.
Secondly, I have observed that the media as well as the people gives way out of proportion advertisement to quota issue. I wish they could have stood for better issues for countering terrorism or placing back the displaced people of kashmir back or even abolishing caste then reservation (well cant expect that).
Third, the upper castes mostly blame politicians for “dividing hindus” , I have been in various places and I saw that people are anyway divided on basis of cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
People also argue that reserve everything , I say ofcourse everything is reserved for upper castes !! Statistically, I have seen that upper castes get more promotions on basis of leadership capability or intelligence capability in MNC’s , so where is reservation gone? There are people who says that SC/ST’s waste a seat by dropping out, and what about the hordes of IITians who settle abroad , well forgive the “gifted ones” (There r more gifted anyway in upper castes mostly male, observed that?) what about those people who graduate in for example mining but takes job in computers? wheres the seat gone and governments money? Some say caste is complex subject , I would say dont try to confuse , read the vedas and its clear, name of jatis might be different but rest all is same. Summary is more then any other thing, its the attitude of people which matter not reservation, since attitude wont change reservation is must. As long as caste is alive an outcaste is alive. Hinduism might die , caste wont die (converts to islam and christianity are proofs).
