Yesterday i watched Rang De Basanti at Satyam Cineplex, Janak Place along with Kunwar and Satbir. We were there on time but it was the security check that made us late by almost 10 mins. We didnt miss much. We were checked by two security guards. huh??
The movie is about Sonia’s (Soha Ali Khan) frnd Sue (Alice Patten), grandaughter (or great granddaughter) of John Mckinley (a British Officer), comes to India to make a film about revolutionaries Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad and their contemporaries and their fight for freedom from the British Raj. Owing to a lack of funds, she recruits students from Delhi University to act in her docu-drama. She read about India’s Revolutionaries in her Grandpa or (great grandpa’s) diary.
In cast Aamir Khan, Kiron Kher, Anupam Kher, Om Puri, Atul Kulkarni, Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi, etc… give a star studded cast with a splendid performance. Only thing i hated in the movie were the songs. They were not shown fully.
The movie sends out clear cut msg to the youth to do something for ur country. Nothing is changed by itself.
Rakesh Omprakash Mehra has done a splendid job. The movie is superbly shot with gr8 humour, drama. The dialogues have been wonderfully crafted as well executed. The acting performances by each and everyone is gr8. Sue has done wonderfully and her hindi is almost perfect. Aamir has played his 15 yrs younger character exceptionally well. His genuine humour kept the movie alive till the end. The music is awesome. AR Rehman’s music as alwayz is top notch. Except the song Rang De Basanti, all songs are in parts. Cinematography by Binod Pradhan and Screenplay by Rakesh Omprakash Mehra is awesome. There was not a single dull moment for me in the whole movie.
Also i have heard many ppl not liking over the end of the movie including my parents. Well if it was shown that they all have surbived, in my opinion it wud have been just another bollywood movie.
RANG DE BASANTI is set to become the biggest blockbuster of the year and i heard only those ppl not liking the movie who liked Garam Masala and Main Hoon Naa, both of which i hated.
My rating: 10/10.

Awesome movie! a good slap on the indian government! everyone did excellent! Siddharth was sooooooooo good, cute, adorable, and hot. Not bad for a new comer!!!!
