Well since my net is not working, i was tweaking around with the Firefox settings, here are some that i found. These setings worked for me, i m not sure whether they will work for u or not. B4 proceeding back up ur prefs.js file located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\(profile name). To use these tweaks, type about:config in the address bar and then search for appropriate key.
- I like Word Wraping when viewing source in FF, so i found this: view_source.wrap_long_lines and changed its value to true.
- For those of u who dont like those icons in their bookmarks, change the setting of: browser.chrome.favicons to false.
- I like whenever i type anything anywhere on the Webpage, the search bar shud automatically come up, change the setting of: accessibility.typeaheadfind to true. My some frnds have this option enabled by default whereas some do not.
- For those of u like me who are annoyed of getting warning msgs when changing from a secure page to insecure page or vice-versa or similar to that, change the values of the following to false. The keys are: security.warn_entering_secure, security.warn_entering_weak, security.warn_leaving_secure, security.warn_submit_insecure, security.warn_viewing_mixed
- U can change the background color of the tabs by replacing the default value in: browser.display.background_color to the Hexadecimal color value of ur own choice.
- When u want to select a particular part of the URL in address bar, the whole URL gets selected, u can avoid it by changing the setting of: browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll to false.
